JG wants to play

IF the Universities could get ENFORCEABLE releases of liability and assumptions of risk from the players who want to play...then it would be an easier decision to play. However, that one issue actually involves many more complicated sub-issues and isn’t as easy as it might sound.

I once heard a lawyer say that you can't sign away your rights. That may apply in this case.

There was a time in football when about 1 player per team died each season. It was generally accepted that they had assumed the risk.

Now we live in a society that’s afraid to allow players to play because they may file suit if they catch a virus? Players who have been given the option to attend school for free and not lose eligibility?

Lawyers and politicians. The two worst classes of people on the planet.

The difference??
Politicians lie every time they open their mouths.
Lawyers lie when it is to their advantage.
A truism to believe.

We could have a season. Read the article linked above. 20,000 fans at the bristol nascar race a few weeks ago and no clusters of covid outbreaks happened because of the event. Lots of race fans were observed outside the track prior to the race mingling, buying souvenirs and without the masks we're all relentlessly (and baselessly) shamed that we have to wear. I don't think we will have a season due purely to politics and irrational fear but we should have one.

Some people aren't adult enough to not whine and take shots at a young man who quarterbacks the team they claim to support whenever he is mentioned. Pretty sad
