Its an interesting topic. Mainly because I think people define the term differently.Tee martin was not a game manager QB
A recent example is Dobbs. He had to be more than just a guy that didn't make the big mistake for his team to win games. As far as physical talent, ability and even development there wasn't a lot of difference between Dobbs and Tee. The glaring difference was the teams they were on. Tee didn't need to be Dobbs for UT to win games. He had a lot better talent around him and the defense was gonna give you a chance every nite even when you wern't productive. UT cleared the hurdle post Manning because they were more balanced on both sides of the ball, not because Tee was a better QB. Most teams get in trouble when they ask or require a QB to be better than what he really is. Once they get outside their element (or ability level) they put your team in compromising positions.
I don't know if that means Tee was a "game manager" but if he was, he did it pretty well.
