JG is the starter against Bama (merged)

He will play this week..Get a$$ handed to us anyways then they will use the bye week to get Harrison ready to play out the season. Book it. Also we will beat FL with HB as QB too.

This is what I expect too. Give HB as many reps as he can, let JG start against bubba, get crunched as expected and bring Bailey in garbage time to get experience. and then start from then on.

At least I sure do hope this is the plan

Unfortunately, we've been fed the line that "JG has earned it in practice each week."
The problem with that line for Pruitt is that its shelf life ran out sometime in 2019. He hadn't taken the job yet, but I'm sure Pruitt knew that JG struggled in 2017. However, he was also just a redshirt freshman and it is fair to allow Pruitt to come in with a mentality that he could develop/fix him If you're Pruitt, and JG is clearly looking the best in practice in 2018 and even into 2019, I see why he'd be really reluctant to start someone else.

But we're in 2020 now, and how JG looks in games is abundantly clear to the staff. Ball security is also the only thing JG had going for him, but now that's falling by the wayside. JG's had interception issues going back to last year's Vandy game. If you look at it that way, he's actually had 6 INTs in the last 6 games, and all of those have been on him, not a matter of getting victimized by bad protection or drops by WRs.

It just doesn't take much to set the rocket called Volnation into orbit. It's a borderline obsessive disorder. I'm retired and have a little time on my hands. As a friend ask the other day when the golf course was full during the middle of the week..."WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE DO FOR A LIVING WHERE YOU CAN PLAY GOLF (in this case post almost immediately on Volnation when news breaks) ON A WEEKDAY? :):) Just kidding...although it is kinda interesting !

Thank goodness the big ten starts this weekend. That will give me more games to choose from rather than Tennessee

Better get some matresses ready. Might want some rope to tie them both down. But they are in bed together allready

Since we can't pass and our WRs can't seem to get open, perhaps we should put Holiday back there and do our best impression of Lynn Bowden. We can double our rushing yards, keep our defense off the field more and from getting gassed. Let our opponents DL get worn out chasing our QB.

Or just teach Eric Gray to pass and play 2 TEs and 3 WRs with a running QB. lol

Pruitt is probably factoring in recruiting here as well as Wins & Losses. Like it or not, HB and JT probably give you less of a chance to win games. He is trying to avoid a complete debacle with a 2 win season is my best guess .. that’s why he is not completely cutting out JG which would throw any confidence he had out the window as well.

I would take his statement as literal when he says JG gives us best chance to win games. That’s what he’s trying to accomplish

Realistically who are they going to trot out there? I think if BM were healthy we’d have already seen him. JT possibly, hoping his one pas attempt was just the jitters or an anomaly. HB may have more potential and talent than all of the others but minimal spring and fall camps, training table time in fall camp, and Covid protocols seem to have provided him the most limited practice time out of the whole group. If Holiday can run, I’d give him a shot. BM is probably the second most mobile, but reports indicate he is limited with a nagging hammy. Hopefully HB or the Salter kid coming in will be the “one”.

Chaney is clueless about DT Qbs - Tee Martin would have to call the plays if Holliday was in

A warm body is better than JG at this point and honestly I'm done with the covid excuse. Every school in America has had to deal with it, we haven't in over a month and are regressing so that dog don't hunt.
