Sadly, I don’t know that we have anyone else to hand the keys to?! I heard someone say earlier that there is no way you could play either of the backups because neither had ever taken a live college snap. I’m thinking, what’s the worst that could happen, you lose to Georgia state???

He was a good recruit who performed well at Elite 11. He looked like a great fit for our system at the time, when we had a roster of pocket passers stacked up. In the larval stage - as a recruit - there was every legit reason to believe he would metamorphosize into a great SEC QB.

Then he went into the Butch Jones cocoon and emerged a moth when we needed and expected a butterfly.

Undeniable at this point: he peaked early. He has not improved in-game performance since last season. Some tangibles are there, but not enough (hello mobility), and the intangibles just aren't there.

Time to move on to Shout or Maurer and see what happens.

He had time to throw, made bad decisions, can't feel the rush. We'll be lucky to win a conference game with the way he played today. That 's just the reality of it. If he's heads and shoulders above the others then i hope Bailey is the real deal next year, or we're screwed for the foreseeable future.

Jg can’t recognize a blitz to save his life literally.Talkin to a buddy when they brought the blitz he got smacked on and fumbled,the defender showed his hand so much he coulda wrote JG a note sayin”I’m coming to sack you”!!No attempt to audible anything.I swear I think the next drive same damn DB if I’m not mistaken and SAME BLITZ and he shows hand again and smacks JG n the mouth unblocked again.I mean that unacceptable for a guy been here for 3 years or whatever.Thats strictly on JG he’s gotta be able to see that coming.On yea and the slide for a first and the kid doesn’t even know where the marker is and slides short.Me personally I think he saw the hit coming got scared and slid early but then again he doesn’t seem super cerebral so him not knowing the line to gain isn’t surprising!

And people said he is going pro early. I didn’t see the game. Wasn’t on the TV we thought it was on. Did he spend the entire game on his butt?

Hasn't improved since he stepped onto campus. We should have known what we were getting into when he pouted at the GA Tech game several years ago. He's more worried about how his name is pronounced and padding his stats by throwing 3 yard passes when it's 3rd and 9 than leading his team. Bottom line is he is not an SEC caliber QB and we'll continue to be a bad team as long as he is under center. This team needs leadership and it's obviously not going to come from the TAN man

26-for-40 passing for 311 yards with two TDs and one interception isn’t awful. -2 rushing yards is awful. That means our OL is awful. Our D is way too young but our DL is terrible. This is 100% on the line coaches, Pruitt and Chaney.
