JG is not an SEC QB

I get exactly what he means. JG wasnt bad, but he looked like a kid that just learned a dance routine.

The huge problem is that whoever we play at QB is going to struggle because we can't run the ball.

You used a good anology but it means what I said yesterday. JG is predictable. He gives away the play upon the snap or teams seem to know where he's going with the football or not going. He is easy to disrupt. There is no fluidity in the offense with him. He's the type of guy that stands and watches after the handoff and the other team knows where the ball is after that. At QB, his is 1 out of the 11 guys on offense instead of the guy.

As for JG I haven't cared for him since he publicly pouted on the sidelines in the Ga.Tech game to begin the 2017 season because Dormady was the starter.
I think that's what soured me on JG and you never saw him on the sidelines getting at his teammates to bring it or studying plays.
But that pouting really turned me off. He's a serviceable QB I guess but he's not a game changer. If he was out there winning then it's easy to over look the inefficient parts of his game...Like they say winning takes care of everything...

It means he is not loose...never has played the game loose...doesn't come naturally to him....scared to make a mistake....no confidence in his skills...can't play within the scheme of the offense....has no fun playing...football isn't a game to him anymore....
For some reason JG has never had touch on the ball and very seldom can he lead his receivers...
Here we are again saying the same things we said last year...
Its like JG is trying out for the team every year and barely good enough to be a starter in the coaches eyes...
I hate if for the kid...I really do...but I also really hate it for the fans...
DABO MADE A DECISION LAST YEAR TO GO WITH THE FRESHMAN REGARDLESS...IT WAS A VERY TOUGH DECISION...A COACH IS PAID TO MAKE THE CALL

This. I very seldom post, and I was too sick last night, but I agree with this poster 100%. JG is AFRAID OF BEING EXPOSED. Not knocking the kid personally, but this is the only answer i see. I also buy into some internal problems so.eone else posted about.
Pruitt and the others didn't forget how to coach overnight. Did they look past Ga St? Probably.
Then they weren't able to adjust WITH THE PERSONELL THEY HAVE.
Just a shot in the dark here, but I wonder if JG has a big portion of the upperclassmen in his pocket.
If he does, then Pruitt may be facing a situation where if he benches JG, the others walk off, and then......?
I dunno, but that hot garbage on the field yesterday defies normal logic.
All the above is a guess.....but I cant come up with anything more believable.

I want to say something here:
Chandler is a great running back
Gray is going to be a great running back
Offensive line is going to player better
We do have some very good defensive players...very good
Don't expect freshman to be all pro's in their first game
Receivers are our strength only the coaches make it as such
I'm going to say things on both side of the ball get better

I believe the players want to play and coaches want to coach but for some reason the coaches game plan is not translating on the field of play.
Lots of decisions has to be made this week as far as game plan and players who carry out those plans.....
If you don't see considerable change between the 1st and 3rd game then it spells trouble
I can spell already spell trouble.

I wouldn’t think he’d have near the support you’d expect. Calloway, Palmer and Jennings all share the same dreams I’m sure. They want to be drafted. If game in and game out they take turns watching JG check down while one or more of them are running wide open downfield it cripples their abilities to get where they want to go one play at a time. Yet they remain professional and supportive on the surface. A change at qb may just save their careers and I’m sure they know that as well.
