JG is not an SEC QB

If anyone thinks Fulmer pulls the plug on this experiment anytime soon, it's just not happening. He's way to old school and held a grudge for way to long. Both experiments were a mistake.

I’m a JG fan, but if your returning QB, with juice in the media (and he had plenty), can’t get his team fired up to not be embarrassed on his home field against a 2-10 sunbelt team that has only had a program for 8 years, 8. F-(&!ng YEARS! I am off the JG train at this point. Open it up and let em play. But I’m not happy with Chaney or the D play caller either. This is disgraceful. Disgraceful.

You're right. He isn't. Neither is the O line. Neither is the defense - line and backfield. We're already thinking "maybe next year". After one loss to a team we should have beat by several touchdowns. I'm temped to say it can't get any worse, but I'm afraid we're gonna see it get a lot worse in coming weeks. I think we need to see some results, rather than bragging about how many past championships the staff has won for other teams. Let's win and compete now!!!!

Appreciate comments about the line but this is about JG. His play was uninspired and you HAVE to be the guy at qb.
He had time on most plays. He just can't seem to read D's and make timely decisions. He throws quick sometimes but they're either designated plays or else he's reading the D poorly- he almost never hits a guy on a short pass or dump down with room for YAC's.

JG also did a very poor job of managing the pocket today.

He had a good pocket for most of the day. They caught them on some blitzes. On the one where he fumbled, a CB ran from the sideline to hit JG... JG never checked his backside and held the ball too long.

I will be surprised if UT can win behind JG. He's tough. He can throw the ball. But he doesn't make good decisions. The game just hasn't seemed to slow down for him. If it hasn't happened by his RS Jr year... it probably isn't happening.

That said, I believe it is extremely unlikely that he's replaced barring injury. If for no other reason... it could complicate recruiting if someone else took over and established themselves as the starter.

Geniu

Genius we got turned down by all them. Get a clue
It's not complicated, genius: we bargain shop, therefore we get rejected. UF is paying him over $2 million a year more than we're paying our bargain-bin coach; do you really think if we had offered him $8 million a year that he would be in Gainesville? None other than a former MSU quarterback and current radio commentator said Mullen was leaning toward taking this (UT) job until Florida called him:

I suppose you think he would have taken $2 million less a year just for nostalgia's sake.

He just isn’t. His first pass needed touch; instead he throws a bullet for a INT. His pathetic early slide cost a first down. He was bailed out from another INT with a defensive PI.

I just don’t understand the love affair with this guy. He’s awful.[/QUOTE

Year three trying to hide his faults. He can only throw lollipops to the flats or rainbow 50/50 balls. Give Shrout or Maurer a chance. This was a pathetic performance all around .

Complicate recruiting?? Losing complicates recruiting MORE than anything!
