Interesting take considering we are about the only SEC team who didn’t lose an impact player.

The rosters spots were filled were depth positions and improve our roster perfectly. Hard to say she’s going for one and dones when we signed the top Hs class with 5 incoming freshman.

She’s building for the long haul.

Absolutely i agree with you on this..this team even the freshmen are dawgs its some big personalities on this team its so many of them that have that IT factor you need...I LOVE IT

Perhaps Sidney Spencer is a better comparison? Spencer had that lovely stroke and pretty good handles, could shoot while on the move; and, importantly, The Great One often used her to defend the paint, and would spring her out to trap on the perimeter. She just kept getting better ...good enough to play in the WNBA for five seasons.

I think the big winners from this season's Portal haul are Lauren, Deniyah, Alyssa, and Ruby. Janiah and Jersey, despite any concerns, are high talents, and experienced from playing for several coaches with several teams. Kim has assembled a collective gold mine of knowledge and talent to share.

There’s a couple of different ways to make a roux.
Easiest/cheapest is flour and oil. A little more sophisticated is with the “Cajun Trinity”. Been a minute since I’ve stirred one up. You’ve inspired me. Headed to the grocery store for some fixings!

It would be really nice if CKC can bring Judd into the program. If that happens the Lady Vols will become an offensive nightmare for the competition. With that speed on defense, it will keep opponent coaches up past their bedtime. That is exactly the way we want it!!

I knew my spelling of roux was not cajun enough to be correct. Tried making from scratch once, was a disaster. The brand you posted a pic of is really good. Let me know how it turns out.

I've watched Jersey play several games and have always thought she played (sometimes) ineffective because she was being posted. She's not a post.....she's a big wing. I'm optimistic that Jersey, should she meet the cardio demands, will fit Kims plan perfectly.

With Zee, Barker, and Wolfengerger, the LVs have 3 players 6-4 and over. That is a net gain of one and all three shoot better than Jillian. And there are four others who are 6-1 to 6-2 (and rangy). And with speed at all positions and players. It will be fascinating to see what line-up combos CKC puts together.

For fun, in the early season, I would live to see a "team giant" and "team diminutive" rotation. Team giant: Zee, Barker, Wolfengerger, Latham (or Hurst), and Coop. Team diminutive : Paulado twins, Robertson, Boyd, and Wynn or Whitehorn at post

Ah, yes the mighty Sith lord "blue hairs".

From my recollection, there were intitial concerns about her lack of recruiting experience at the power 5 level but had nothing to do with hiring outside of the Summitt tree.

But once CKC brought on Lazo and Tubner as assistants, that concern dropped rapidly.

Sorry, I hate to spoil the party, I understand the narrative that everyone hates the LVs and is praying day and night for CKC to fail (and I am morally righteous for being the ONE person who wants CKC to "prove her haters wrong") is incredibly addictive.

It is just no fun to bask in good news unless you can lambast mythic enemies!!!

The reality is that Coach Caldwell had just about everyone at hello (during her intro press conference).
