JerQauri Schofield

It's funny how when Fulmer first offered him he had no big offers yet. UT was the first. A lot of people on here and other boards were having fits because we offered him and he had no other big time offers. Now we are hoping we can hold onto him because he's getting noticed and other schools are calling.

Funny how that works out...I was laughing when that was going on...same thing with Toney Williams. Everybody was whining because he was a 3*...then he went out and bulldozed all of Atlanta, and everybody screams, "yippie, we love Toney Williams". Some of the input on here is so uninformed, you wonder why it is even posted...

Not just me. People are less concerned with stars than you think.

It was the offers, or lack thereof, that worried people concerning Schofield.

I'm not arguing with you, but the people I have seen on here with the, "he only has three stars", "is he good? how many stars does he have?" etc., etc. It seems like I see a lot of commenting on the stars...

I think Kiffin will visit him/ or he come here and close the deal.....monte may have a say in this too

I'm not as worried about this guy as I am about Stokes. I think he really likes UT because we offered him first, even if it was Fulmer. In the end he is a vol IMO.

On Volquest Football recruiting front page there is a live interview with JerQauri at all star practice.

Quote- "I am Soild with Tennessee right now"

He was not highly recruited but stood out in a TN camp so we made him an offer. Recently at an all star game, he opened a lot of eyes at DT. I think he was an OT at his HS. I think once we get our staff together, they will secure his committment.

You can tell the kid has a lot of power due to his blocking in his video. He could be a straight bull rusher as a DT and disrupt a lot of plays. The kid has TONS of upside and especially size is a big plus with him also

Actually his quote was "I'm still solid to Tennessee"
He also said he was "liking" being recruited by Clemson and SouthC, which makes me think he just enjoys the attention, but that he thinks he will sign with Tennessee.
No "right now" about it.
Sounds good to me.

Jerquari Schofield playing DT in the game but physically would be the best-looking OL in the game if he was on that side of the ball for the game.

from Shrine Bowl practice

Say whaaat!!! Misquoted?

"Right now, I am solid to Tennessee," Schofield said. "Everything is new up there. Everybody is coming in new and they are going to bring in a SPREAD OFFENSE AND OPEN IT UP. I will listen to anybody, though. Right now, Clemson is coming on. They are looking at me, so I am going to consider them. I will listen to anybody, but right now it's mainly just Clemson and Tennessee."

Maybe Kiffin went too far in his promises.
