He is huge but lazy, not very strong for his size, and doesnt play with any intensity.
Coaches would drool over him till they saw him play.

stj, let me first say that I completely respect your opinion. your posts are always substantive and your opinions always have some merit. On this one, it sounds like you are trying to defend the coaching staff's decision rather than promote the player. I just disagree. I think that we saw a big kid (you cant coach size) with some potential and offered, maybe also to help build some recruiting momentum. It's hard for me to believe that he was completely overlooked by schools much closer than we are. I know that it does happen and Ill be happier than anyone if this turns out to be the case. I just think he was huge and our coaches took a shot and he may have had a great camp. One camp doesnt mean more to me than his entire career up to this point.

Anthony Parker was a three star.

From the Clemson Rivals site. Should we be worried I know we got the commitment when he was kind of unknown. Now that he is 3 star and looking around it seems. His highlight video is good and I would like to keep him.

Finally, Tigerillustrated.com has learned that Clemson's staff has been in communication with JerQuari Schofield of Aiken - South Aiken, a Tennessee verbal commit. The 6-foot-6, 298-pound offensive tackle, rated 34th nationally at his position, committed to the Vols in June following an unofficial visit to Knoxville. The Tigers have been evaluating, but have not offered.

schofield has tremendous upside. he had two special teams touchdowns at the end of the season and he's a monster. South Aiken is a tiny program and he will improve drastically with real coaching and training.

He's going to be playing DL in the Shrine Bowl coming up. Maybe he will impress our coaches enough on that side of the ball they give him a shot there.

It is bs if he goes Clemson or USCe. Tennessee found him and offered him. We are part of the reason he got his 3 star status. If not he still may be unknown

will visit Clemson and then choose between us and the tigers

You never know with a 17 year old...but I feel good about that...especially now that we have Monte and O...that should sit well with someone who's getting a serious look at DT...

Do you think if Schoefield has a dominant performance at DT in the Shrine Bowl that he will jump to a 4*?

If this kid wants to play for a guy named Dabo, let him. Hope he likes peaches and turf because the peach bowl will be the height of his career.
