Je'Ron Stokes

I think he is talking about Rodney Smith. WR out of FL.

Oh yeah...but no one's even confirmed he'll visit anyone other than FSU.

I still haven't found anyone to explain why Stokes doesn't just decommit. He has to be somewhat interested in TN to not just go ahead and end this, so everyone can move on.

I find it puzzling since he basically said he committed to the idea of Tennessee and the program...but the program's going to be in better hands, so he should be firmer in his commitment.

I'll be so happy when the Stokes/Brown sweepstakes is over, so everyone can start questioning who's going to do what at WR.

Tennessee commit to visit Michigan
Wide receiver Je'Ron Stokes (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) will resume his official visits this weekend with a trip to Michigan.

Stokes committed to Tennessee last spring and made his official visit there in September when the Vols played Florida. With the resignation of Phil Fulmer and the hiring of Lane Kiffin, Stokes has remained committed to Tennessee, but has not made a final decision on his college choice.

"I'm still committed to Tennessee," Stokes said. "Lane Kiffin came down for a home visit. And their offensive coordinator came down last week. I like what they said. The offensive coordinator is a very smart guy and Coach Kiffin is definitely a good coach."

However Stokes will wait until February to make a final decision on his college.

"Everything is still up in the air," he said. "Whatever decision I make can't be a bad choice. I'll make my final decision on signing day."

Stokes will make official visits to Michigan this weekend and Illinois the weekend of Jan. 23. He also may visit Penn State the weekend of Jan. 30.

Sounds like he's still leaning towards UT..I dont see what could draw him away from us minus the fact hes set on playing somewhere where his brother can QB.

I hope we get him, but id rather have Brown and Patterson...obviously.

I don't understand how a kid can say he is committed to a school and then say everything is still up in the air.

Why are you guys whining about Stokes? If we get all well and good. But if we don't oh well. Not going to sit and pout over a kid that just taking visits. What if you were in his situation? He may want to at least say he's been to a place. I do think he'll be a Vol when it's all said a done though. We're the best school on his list. And that includes the Gators. I'll be one of the first to say they won't repeat next year.

uhhh not that i really want them to repeat, but i dont really see what possible reason you could have as to why they wouldnt..

I think the Gators will look entirely different next year without Harvin...but you're right I don't see a team as of right now that has the talent they do. Things could change and you just never know what can happen on gameday....like a blocked extra point.

:eek:hmy: who in the hell is Charleston Southern? i thought we would be better off with them not having a bi-week before us. they have a a 3 bi-week before us. lord have mercy...

wow thats really weak......The tampa 2 is designed to stop the spread/ pass offenses so I am eager to see what monte does against it.

but they finish real strong with Vandy, USCjr, FIU, and FSU...give me a freaking break!:mf_surrender::swoon3:

And their SEC Western Rotation is the easiest combination.... No Auburn, Alabama or Mississippi. Instead they get Arkansas at home and Mississippi State on the road! (LSU is their permanent opponent)
