Je'Ron Stokes

Kevin Simon's dad posted this on Gridscape:

I watched one of our practices with the Stokes family, at least with the guys in the family (mom Stokes was too bushed to hang any longer that weekend and stayed behind at the hotel).

Their parents really liked Knoxville and the university and the boys had a ball hanging out with other recruits and UT players all weekend. But I got the feeling that if anything, dad had some concern about the long drive every weekend from Pennsylvania to Knoxville. But he said that it wasn't a deal-buster, and added that if Mark Jones parents could do it, so could they.

I was more concerned about the prospect of him ending up at Penn State or the Ohio State University-- because of proximity. The drive from PA to Gainesville, FL is probably twice as far as Knoxville but Florida has the extra added appeal of playing in the super-glamorous national championship game. 'Nuff said! JMO.

we will probably lose him, but at the cost of possibly gaining P Patterson and R Carroll, at the end of the day i think this class will be just fine with WR talent, with or without Stokes.

He is visiting illinois and michigan, possibly florida and georgia. Illinois was his "number 2" before he committed

if you have rivals access it from your homepage, otherwise it wont work from the direct link

Basically he said he's worried about UT's QB situation, and that he's still looking at Illinois, Michigan, Florida, and Georgia. He doesn't think his brother will be playing QB here, which is a concern to him.

Well the QB situation at all those schools will be in question within the next 2 years. The only reason I say this is because Tebow will probably be back next year if he decides to go there.

One request to the young kids. Don't commit until you are ready.

I'd gladly love to have Stokes as a vol, but if he changes his mind then good luck to him until he comes to Neyland to play.
