Je'Ron Stokes

D. Moore is my early pick for breakout player of the year for us in 09. With his speed and athletic ability, I think he blossoms in this new offense CLK is bringing in.

Beat me to it. VolNBama is going to make you pay for saying Moore will be an impact player.

Bowman will be a bust. You heard it here first.

Actually, govols182 has been sayin that for awhile. I tend to believe it. However, Bama can risk it with all the other talent they are bringing in.

I think Moore will be good but you hype him up like he's the next Randy Moss.

Too short to be Randy. Like I said I see him being used like Ronald Johnson and Damian Williams are being used by USC. Which means big numbers for him.

His loss. Any player that wants to get to the next level is shorting themselves by not coming to the University of Tennessee now. The kid talked about Fulmer telling him he would make him the very best player he could be. Yeah ok? When is the last time that's happened? Not never. What's going on now at UT is bigger than any one over-egoed high school kid. Again, it's his loss.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

If Stokes wants to go first round he should come here. If he goes to Florida he'll be another soft receiver that hardly ever makes an impact at the next level.

His loss? Are you kidding me? And this kid is clearly not over-egoed.

if he goes to UF then he could legally be committing suicide. Death by an Eric Berry hit. haha

I hope he stays but when did he run a 4.3? It is amazing. Any guy who thinks about UF automatically can run a 4.3. "hey they signed a 6-4 340 OL, he runs a 4.3" I really hope he comes here but the national title contention is soon to be run through Knoxville Je'Ron. No more Tebow here soon and your boy Urban may leave while you are there.

My interpretation of that article may have been a little off but it's still his loss, imo, if he chooses to go elsewhere. No offense but then again, imo, anyone that was intrigued by Phils' knowledge of the game is lacking. I said no offense...Happy New Year.

I would be very surprised if he stays with us. He is playing us like a fiddle right now. I can't understand how commits words nowadays don't mean jack. When you say you are committed you don't jump ships out of the blue because another team becomes attractive. What is the point of even have rivals.com or scout.com if every time a player commits and then 3 months down the road they switch. "Committed" is the wrong word for Stokes. It should be "myworddoesn'tmeancrap".

Now that our staff is almost in place, we will kick recruiting into high gear. We will visit Stokes again. If not, I'm sure Kiffin will make a few surprise signings by NSD.

Coaching changes play a big part.

Don't worry about losing Stokes. He's just worried because he might not be the biggest WR committ coming to UT. James Green is better that Stokes in my opinion...don't rip me because I know than opinion doesn't resemble many others' opinion out there. But we are seriously looking to land some bigger fish and if Je'ron thinks Malik will play qb at UF he's sorely mistaken...he might play reciever or holder but not qb...well if Brantly goes down in the next 3 years and whoever the next two back ups are go down...then maybe....MAYBE

your right but unless kiffin told him that he would be riding the pine then i don't understand why it would make a difference to who the coach is going to be. If anything I would think he should be more excited that kiffin is there along with the dream team.

I am with you on Stokes. I think he is a very good player, and would take him in a minute. I don't think he is the greatest thing out there. James Green was very underrated and I think has loads of potential. UT did well getting him. Florida has one WR locked down they wanted(Nu'Keese Richardson) and Andre Debose has always been target #1 for us at WR so I'm not worried about Stokes either way from the UF prospective. If he came great, if not I wouldn't worry. As far as Malik ever playing at UF at qb, no way in hell. Brantley is the guy after Tim and Trey Burton(class of 2010 commitment) is the future after that. I can't see Malik ever playing qb at big time school at this point. If these kids think that's going to happen its nonsense.
