Je'Ron Stokes

Pat White has to be one of the smallest framed QB's I've ever seen play. But man he can throw and dog gonit he can run like the wind. However I doubt he plays QB in the NFL.
I think he may somehow be a WR

Aaron Murray and some Penn St verbals trying to peer pressure Stokes...

He wants to know the UT scheme...

Still going to take a few visits, but "still a Vol".

"I still have that same passion that I had when I first committed," Stokes said. "The changes had me take a step back, but it's a great program in the SEC. I'm just taking it day by day. I'm just going to let it all play out."

The only school that really scared me was Florida. I think if his second choice is still Illinois, he'll end up sticking with us.

I actually think you will know what he's going to do after the he hosts the coaches at his home.

Kiffin has already visited in-home with him. Does the program get 1 in home visit or does each coach get 1?

I think each coach might get one, but I'm not positive.

We probably lose him though with all of the other WRs we seem to be going after.

New article on Rivals about him considering Penn State. Also taking officials to Illinois and Michigan which isnt anything new. Taking two other officials that he hasn't made known yet, but said he had two in mind. Most likely schools are Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Penn State.
"I'm still committed, you know, but I just want to make sure I'm being smart with my decision," he said. "Hopefully I can make (a decision) by signing day."

It seems like we keep slipping slowly with Stokes. I'd really like to keep him, but if we don't then hopefully he will fall to a Big 10 school and stay out of the SEC. I really think Stokes is the real deal. Any chance one of our coaches heads up to PA?? We need to do something to keep him.

From what I gathered from the ncaa off-campus recruiting guidlines is "During the contact period, a coach is allowed one visit per week." That's the way I read it.

Well earlier in the thread...like a page back...Reeves is visiting him in a couple days maybe sooner.

I like his comment about having the same passion as when he first committed...so maybe that's good for us.

I personally don't think it would be the worst thing in the world for us to lose a Stokes or Green because if receivers like Carroll or Brown or Jeffrey or Patterson see other recruits commiting elsewhere its just less competition which means more immediate playing time. It's a similar situation to the Oku/Giles thing. Oku definetely wasnt happy about us landing Giles and i'm sure he's glad that Giles is gone now (though he wont admit it). I'd trade off Rogers, Stokes, and Green for Brown and Carroll anyday. I would obviously be ecstatic for us to get everybody but its just not that realistic. Just my opinion.
