Hope so. Not sure we have much shot against Oklahoma without Hood though. I guess our secondary wasn’t killing it with him either though.
Yeah, I knew that was a hole in my logicYou mean like Ty Simpson or Taylen Green?
I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned, particularly if Hood is unable to play. The two best QBs we have faced threw for roughly 250 yards each, though, so it is not like they absolutely shredded us. I have hopes that Mateer, who is still recovering from the injury to his throwing hand and has looked like a completely different QB since returning, playing in a night game at Neyland will not be as effective as either of those guys were when fully healthy. Also, this will be just his second SEC road game. The first was an 11:45 start against a struggling South Carolina team. He has never faced an environment like the one he is coming into Saturday.Yeah, I knew that was a hole in my logic
I guess what I really want to say is that I am really concerned about Meeter, especially since we will probably be without Hood coupled with the fact that our pass defense has continued to regress. We seem to be getting worse each game instead of better.
Brother we are about to see a stoppable force (OU Offense) meet a movable object (our Defens) for half the game.We arent beating OU with the way this defense is playing. Their defense will stop our Offense just enough.
