Jermod McCoy Possible Return Rumors.

McCoy does NOT have to play. He wants to play this year which is great, but just to be clear, he's being mocked in the first round with the understanding he might not play at all this year. His draft stock is going to be fine. He might even hurt it worse if he tries to come back before he's completely ready. No one wants that. Be honest with yourself.

think Tony B missed on that projection. Even if Hood can't be ready this week, he likely is back by Florida and that means 3 weeks to get over a calf strain..
Hope so. Not sure we have much shot against Oklahoma without Hood though. I guess our secondary wasn’t killing it with him either though.

if the offense can do what they did Saturday, I think we can out score the sooners. The problem is, Oklahoma's defense is much better than Kentucky's and easily the best defense we have faced this year. But we have home field and Tennessee is hard to beat in Neyland.

It will definitely be a high scoring shoot out. With or without Hood.

You mean like Ty Simpson or Taylen Green?
Yeah, I knew that was a hole in my logic 😂

I guess what I really want to say is that I am really concerned about Meeter, especially since we will probably be without Hood coupled with the fact that our pass defense has continued to regress. We seem to be getting worse each game instead of better.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned, particularly if Hood is unable to play. The two best QBs we have faced threw for roughly 250 yards each, though, so it is not like they absolutely shredded us. I have hopes that Mateer, who is still recovering from the injury to his throwing hand and has looked like a completely different QB since returning, playing in a night game at Neyland will not be as effective as either of those guys were when fully healthy. Also, this will be just his second SEC road game. The first was an 11:45 start against a struggling South Carolina team. He has never faced an environment like the one he is coming into Saturday.

We arent beating OU with the way this defense is playing. Their defense will stop our Offense just enough.
Brother we are about to see a stoppable force (OU Offense) meet a movable object (our Defens) for half the game.

The other half is going to be two top 5 in the country units facing off.

What a weird game this is shaping up to be.
