Jeremy Pruitt Show

Obviously, Pruitt is not nearly as concerned with what the people think of him as he is what the people think of his football team. Can't go around saying how great things are right now because obviously, they are not. Better to stay grounded and realize that this will not happen overnight! I think his approach is refreshing and will in time win most people over.

I watched the repeat of the JP show last night.
We’re paying this guy what? Good lord, referred to his first time running through the T as “that’s different.”

If I was getting paid millions a year to coach a game I think I’d act a little less douchey.
This ‘I don’t want to be here’ **** may work for Saban, but you ain’t won jack ****, aight?

That is brutal TV.

You know what’s great? Running through the T and getting paid $4 million a year to coach football. That’s ****ing paradise.

Ok, so the line about running through the T bothers me to my core.

There are people around the world that would love to experience that. This dude is making $4,000,000 a year to run through it.

Next time that question gets asked, the answer better be along the lines of “it’s like having an orgas...” well, you get it.

He may very well win 153 games at UT, but he needs to work on that personality.
So, he has to act like he has never been in a big situation, or at another power house school with it's own traditions? Just chill out a little, its perfectly fine if he isnt telling Bob he gets goosebumps everytime, let him build some memories involved with our traditions and this will likely change.

It's kinda like watching a Saturday Night Live skit of a coaches show. The awkward interactions between Pruitt and Kessling, the facial expressions and possum in the headlight stares by Pruitt. It's entertaining for sure. GBO

I love watching then running through the T...I get chills, even though I've never done it. I love our tradition. However, why its special, is because we associate running through the T with winning. I think Pruitt is more concerned with winning than anything thing else. No year 0, no fluff, just an incredible, insatiable desire to win. And we all know, we are a work in progress. His statement is just a reminder of how far we fallen....
In a few years, when he can look down at his national championship ring, I imagine that running through the T will mean a bit more to him, and to my kids.

I watched it. He seemed out off by doing the show. I do like the format better Than the few minutes of film by butch.

Bob asked him at the end about practice being better after a win...I dont know this will be our first time. I like the raw coach in him, just don't know if he is enthusiastic about being in Knoxville.

Jeremy Pruitt knows better than anyone, the up hill battle in front of him, that in its self makes it harder to be enthusiastic when being asked silly questions.

Thanks for identifying the Pruitt show schedule. I would rather watch on the big screen Vice my computer. Dad doesn’t do computer so big help to him. Next up, game replays. If anyone comes across a time for a replay, please post so I can tape it. Forgot to set my DVR before heading to dad’s for the game. I’m ok with a winning coach on Saturday looking goofy on Sunday. The weather for UTEP might be a little dicey.

If you're a fan you get lost in the excitement, colors, pageantry, traditions, bells & whistles. If you're a coach at this level with no emotional ties to the school, you're going to the office to make more sausage for the day. You're there to get more patties out the back door or weenies out of the weeny tunnel.

Watching the highlights show is just slightly more reasonable than reracking bad games and watching them in slo-mo. Caveat emptor. If you are going to watch, at least support the commercial sponsors vigorously.

Not nearly as close to ****ing paradise as winning the SEC Conference! To someone like You and Me, sure Running the T is nearly as good as it gets. You have to remember, Jeremy Pruitt is not Tennessee Stock. He is a Football Coach 1st and foremost!

I don't think it's Pruitt not liking the traditions or Knoxville. Right now, he's focused on improving the team, and any coach that has that to do isn't going to be happy about spending time on the "other" stuff that Head Coaches these days have to do. IMO Pruitt is a throw back to the days before coaches had to do publicity and only had to focus on coaching. My personal preference, I'm happy he's putting most of his energy into improving the team instead of the publicity circuit.

Honestly, I kind of love the way he handles it as an annoyance, but he still does it. It makes some of the interactions hilarious.
I think every single coach that does one of these shows thinks it's an annoyance. They just hide it, whereas Pruitt has no problem showing he's annoyed by it.

Pruitt doesn't wear much orange:Waah
Pruitt is going to bolt to Alabama: Waah
Pruitt didn't say Knoxville was the best city ever:Waah

I really hope your real lives does not consist of all this whining....

Lol.... Who cares you guys are ridiculous.

He shouldn't have to film that crap anyways. Just let the man coach. Also, you aren't paying him crap. The University of Tennessee is paying him so I dunno what this we stuff is.

You want him to be all hyped up that he ran through the T against freaking ETSU who we should blow out and did blow out?

Some of y'all on here amaze me. Just sit back let him coach and stop worrying about what the heck he says about anything else other than football and our players. Because honestly that T doesn't mean crap if we can't beat an SEC opponent or a ranked opponent.

Are you complaining about Pruitt's communication skills or are you whining because you're missing Butch?

For $4,000,000 I’d run through the T naked. All we’re asking is that he show a little more enthusiasm, considering our AD went out on a limb to give him his first head coaching job.

For the record, I like the guy. But that line made me like him a little bit less.
