Jeremy Banks

Banks is a stud. Best energy and I’ll take the penalties. Maybe crouch should go to offense as a power back. Didn’t seem to keep up

Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

But he was recruited to play edge. Banks played with such high energy BECAUSE Crouch took the other 40 snaps on defense. Ideally you want 3 or 4 guys to rotate. At least 3! So Crouch is where he needs to be.

I've been a supporter of Banks for a long time, through his various controversies. I'm still a supporter of Banks. That said...I believe he needs to have a "Come to Jesus meeting" with JP regarding avoidable personal fouls. This team isn't good enough to give up that kind of yardage simply because Mr. Banks loses his cool.
Those penalties STEAL yardage his teammates earned and it has to be stopped.

I still don’t blame him for the late hit. It wasn’t egregious. He was just committed. He honestly barely touch him. The guy tripped over the other defender.

Also, it will stop dudes from thinking twice about trying to get a couple extra yards if they act like they are gunna go out of bounds. Like happens all the time.

Thought Banks played a good game.Ive been a vol fan since childhood. I would have thrown that flag. If chandler received the same hit, you would have screamed for a flag.

That was his sophomore year.
Regardless, it still shows that the problem has presisted and that a year aways from the team may not have sloved the problem. I want him to be able a productive player for us, but he has to be able to control his actions in a positive manner. His actions not only can harm the out come of football games, they can affect his success or failure in life after football. One has to admit there is a problem before it can be corrected. Coach Pruitt has given him more chances than most people get and I applaud him for it. I hope he gets another chance because his actions last week were on the football field.

If you don't think Banks had a great game just stop watching football because you are clueless as it could possibly get.
If you did not see his mistakes, you are the one who needs to learn something about football or at least be able to admit that they occured. He made his share of mistakes playing the game, but he is also has very little experience at his new position. He is a very good athlete and should be able to be a productive player. However, he will must learn to control his actions on the field and stop getting 15 yard penalties.

Forget it? Nope.

But I’m guessing you were just an angel growing up lol.

You’ve obviously never been on a college field or played meaningful sports where people talk crap all the time. It’s just what some people do. It’s part of their game. 😂
You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Maybe you can benefit from talking about fact instead of ranting on something about which you have no information.

The problem with the clean slate is they don't ever let anyone else have one. I think he LOVES TN football, so he in an emotional moment makes a stupid statement on social media. Yet when someone else makes a STUPID statement in the back of a Police car, that is a lifetime sentence. I am not saying the statements were the same, but you are talking about a grown assed man vs a 19yr old. Forgiveness is a 2 way street. I bet the player did a whole lot more to redeem himself than the poster.

You got what you wanted out of...which is more than what you originally ever wanted...which is nothing. You wanted him gone and he’s starting next week.

And (as usual) we would have screamed in naught. Missed calls are part of football.

I usually agree with most of what you post, but you missed the boat with this post. Sorry you feel this way.

This may have already been covered, but I was at the game and never saw an explanation for the flag where Bsnks ripped the helmet off. It clearly should've been flagged, but the flag came from the back judge 15 seconds after the play as they were lining up for the next play. Made no sense.

Your “agenda” against Banks is overwhelming lol.

I didn't see that. Anyone know what point in the game that happened? Would like to see on replay.

It's somewhere just under 14:00 in the 4th qtr. They replayed it in the stadium showing Banks ripping off the helmet and I swear it looked like the back judge saw the jumbotron and flagged it. It was so late that we were wondering if it was reviewable or something, but the flag didn't come from the ref getting buzzed, it came from the back judge who had literally gotten in position for the next play. Latest flag I've ever seen in my life.

Like I had already said, South Carolina was getting away with “hands to the face” against Banks the entire game. He finally got angry at one and ripped the helmet off. I don’t blame him for doing it. It happens Banks didn’t cost us anything on his penalties.

Regarding the late hit.... it should of been flagged but Banks was already committed to tackling the guy as well. He also barely tapped the guy. It’s not like he hit the it dirty like everyone is making it seem. Late hits happen.

Yet everyone is distraught. No one wants to talk about the 3 screen passes he absolutely destroyed during the game..... just the two penalties lol.

Again, you are way off base. Your like of understanding about the principles of football and life are underwhelming.

Lol. You got me bud. I have no understandings of “Football” “ Principles of Life” or anything else for that matter. What am I going to do with myself.....
