Because they still like the backups? Do you have to be a starter to be liked by your team? I'm telling you. If we lose it is because of this distraction. UGA got so lucky!

Keep pretending every 19 year old 4 star recuit attended the same private boys boarding school that you did in high school, and grew up in the same suburban household as you....while you're at it, keep dreaming the players that meet your standard are the ones at Clemson, Bama, FL, etc........again, the kid said things he shouldn't have to the police..along with joking around with them during the ordeal.....after not paying a ticket and an illegal uturn......

😂 I never attended a private school or grew up with money. But once again, you don’t need those things to know it’s not ok to threaten people for no reason or make racist comments. Just common sense. Keep on coddling!

Keep thinking everyone has had the same past experiences as you and therefore be as holy as you.....let's just pray no other players commit an illegal uturn and talk crap to the police.....we may end up without any players...but, on the bright side, we'll have the most righteous fan base? Funny, had he just made a u turn none of us would have ever talked about it. He didnt talk trash to the police until after he was arrested.

I know I didn't recieve a full ride to the University of Tennessee, but I know not to threaten to shot cops.

Totally agree........I knew at 19 not to threaten cops, but I've been taught to keep my mouth shut and I'm a black guy from a rural area.....not sure I've shared the same cop experiences from a kid from Memphis.....could there be a chance he doesn't view the police with the same optimism that I do?

It was an illegal u-turn, on which he received a citation, to appear in court. He did not appear. Therefore a duely elected judge issued a bench warrant on him. He was picked up on the warrant, and all he could do was be disrespectful, threatening, insulting, and just a general piece of trash.
Now, if he had just SHOWN UP FOR COURT, this would've been a non issue.
Obey the law. When you don't.......SHOW UP FOR COURT!! Especially on something as minimal as an illegal u-turn!! Good freakin' grief!!
As a Marine Corps veteran, and a former deputy, of 8 years, I have many friends who still wear the badge. It hurts me to see a player, whom I truly thought I liked, from my beloved Vols, come across the way he did. I have lost respect for him, as a person, and alot of respect for CJP, if he allows him to play, ever.

Then, for doing their jobs, called the officers pussies, bitches, and said he'd assault them if they didn't wear badges and told the cadet he'd be seeing her on campus.

Gee! - what a difference the whole picture makes, eh?

Yes, one more thing. Go learn about personal responsibility and accountability. It isn’t hard to treat people with respect. It wasn’t the officers fault he was driving around on a suspended while he has a warrant out, so he had no one to blame and be angry with but himself. It’s also not ok to make racist comments or threaten people, and just being from Memphis doesn’t excuse any of this idiotic behavior. Now run along lad.

I dont know is history is police. I know how star athletes are typically treated in their home towns, cant assume that apply to Banks. And ill say, even the folks I deal with that dont like cops at all still know theres a limit to what you need to say. And to act like cops are getting shot at every day in Cordova, TN to the point kids think is normal is just stupid.

While I dont expect you to provide any empathy for a kid that doesn't fit your standards of accountability and responsibility....I do appreciate (and expect) your admiration for law enforcement....I believe they acted completely and totally professional....also, I hope you realize I've in no way tried to condone Banks' comments....(if you have, if wasn't my untention)........ what I do hope to convey, though, is his actions in no way merit dismissal......there are tons of examples of kids doing (not saying) far more egregious acts that they learn from, become great people, players, and citizens.......
