It's funny watching some of you act like this is purely partisan. The reality is that these files were important to the MAGA faithful, and they were mad with Pam Bondi yanking their chain in February.

Yes, and it was “MAGA” that got the Epstein files released.
Not the flex post you thought it would be….believe you need to thank MTG as well as many here who called for the release long before it became trendy for the left.

I agree .... just saying that if you are mad about the release, your anger should be at MTG, Massie, Khanna and Boebert for resisting Trump's pressure tactics to back down.

It's not a partisan matter.

I think it funny watching them call for the release, not realizing how deep Epstien was with the Dems..I mean texting with a know convicted pedo during a trial...donations from. Epstein, invites for fundraisers
..he was balls deep with the Dems..this will hurt them more then Trump..and they too dumb to realize it.

Well .... this is American politics.

I don't believe that Democrats cared anything about whether or not these files were ever released .... until Trump made it clear how much he didn't want to do it.

1) During the campaign Trump and his supporters promised to release the Epstein files.

2) Trump gets elected.

3) Bondi tells Fox News she has the list of Epstein clients on her desk and will release that it that week.

4) Bondi refuses to release a list (or anything else).

5) Trump refuses numerous requests to release the entirety of the files.

6) Trump proposes releasing select portions of the file, rejected by his own base.

7) Bondi's DOJ and Trump claim they are trying to release the grand jury transcript, which is a tiny fraction of one percent of the whole.

8) Multiple judges deny the motions on the grand jury materials, saying that the DOJ motions were intentionally designed to fail.

9) Trump starts claiming he was not very friendly with Epstein and Trump makes numerous misstatements about how close their relationship was at any point, and how it ended.

10) Trump calls it all a hoax and continues to refuse to release the files, which he could easily have done.

11) Congressional leaders start to coalesce around a resolution to bypass the leadership and force release.

12) Trump and his do-boys in Congress fight the resolution.

13) It becomes clear that the resolution is going to pass.

14) Bondi and Patel make last ditch efforts to convert members of Congress to defeat it, but they refuse.

15) It is now clear Trump cannot stop it.

16) Trump does a complete 180 and asks everyone to vote for it.

17) The resolution was not needed. Trump could release it on his own accord.

18) The resolution passes and at least some part of it will be released, and Trump beats his chest and claims credit for release of that which he tried to hard to keep from being released.

I don't think anyone believes that there is some smoking gun out there, that is going to implicate Trump. It would have been made public by now.

I think Trump is covering for a friend/donor. I have speculated Acosta, but it could be someone else.

Logically, both of these could be true but the second one makes less sense as other people have had information 1-2 decades as well.

At this point, no real information has been released that this was some type of large operation either by Epstein or the government. Even the documents from Maxwell, are very limited in scope.

IF (?) this was a large scale government operation or became one, logically the protected targets have nothing to do with some make believe Party. If foreigner targets were identified, assassinations could be done.

I want the victims to have the transparency they are looking for. The government has done them wrong. The sweetheart plea deal that Epstein got from Acosta in 2008 was a disgrace. Epstein only served 13 months in jail, with most of it on work release. That lenient plea deal has not been sufficiently explained. Epstein had 30 victims. Those victims have been promised transparency but never really had it.

Aside from that .... I also think Trump has one of the least likable personalities I've ever seen from a person. That has nothing to with this matter though.

I guess that is my question, I mean we keep hearing about all hundreds of victims yet... basically 🦗

The Maxwell deposition actually didn't answer many questions for me, it just gave more and more questions.

I do wonder if the "victims" are not really "victims" and I do wonder if any alleged "victim" hasn't already been paid off. ??????

I have often wondered why the victims haven't released more names, dates and actions. Got any thoughts on that?
