I almost married a supermodel...I honestly would be on board with Fisher being hired...It wouldn't take him long to learn the recruiting stuff...Just surround him with good recruiters and he would do just fine...He's a good coach!...Not sure why people are so down on him...The NFL is a tough place to win and he did a lot of it...did some losing too but that comes with the territory....He won a NC with USC and a super bowl...almost won a super bowl as coach.
He would bring competence to the organization. We wouldn't have 3 guys trying to call a defense at the same time. He would bring in a top shelf OC and hand it over to him. He knows how to make halftime adjustments.I honestly would be on board with Fisher being hired...It wouldn't take him long to learn the recruiting stuff...Just surround him with good recruiters and he would do just fine...He's a good coach!...Not sure why people are so down on him...The NFL is a tough place to win and he did a lot of it...did some losing too but that comes with the territory....He won a NC with USC and a super bowl...almost won a super bowl as coach.

I think this quote hits the nail on the head for a lot of recruits now. Incoming Freshman are 18 years old generally, that means they would have been born in 2003-2004. They probably didn't start playing football until what, 6-9 years old? So that is now 2009-20012 or so, what has Tennessee done since then that would give them any interest in coming here? Nothing...all they know is Alabama and Clemson (maybe OSU and a couple others), but all they know about Tennessee is maybe what it USED to be. This is a big problem when trying to recruit good players, they want to go somewhere relevant. Fans know what UT used to be, but kids born 18 years ago have no idea whatsoever. Will they? They were 12 the last time he was a HC and he was not a successful one.
