At Tennessee, its expected to win an SEC championship once upon a decade. Fulmer didn't deliver this. His winning percentage was dwindling as well. No longer going up against average coaches with superior talent like he did in the 90s.

I always liked Oku better. I lost something in Giles when he basically said he was all about Drayton. I understand you build relationships with your recruiter, but you commit to a school and not a individual. I wish the kid well, but he needs to deflate his ego just a bit. I dont EVER see a Steve Spurrier coached team developing a strong running game. On top of that, who is to say Spurrier wont hang it up in the couple years. See how much he loves SC then if that happens..

Please tell me what ego it is that ya'll speak of? He has never bad mouthed UT, never talked about how great he is, nothing. Is it now an ego because he didn't pick UT???

So if it's the school and not the coaches that these kids are supposed to committ to why don't they send academic advisors and welcoming committies?? If you believe that you've obviously never been a part of or even close to the recruiting process.

LOL - the kid didn't give a crap that Fulmer was fired. Get your facts straight. It was all about Drayton from the beginning. He decommitted because he was scared we were going to let Drayton go. Sure he would have liked to have Fulmer there - but that wasn't close to a decision swayer.

Point being your the one that dont have your facts straight. The kid is a good kid, but a lil high up now. Its not just him, too many high school kids make the commitment day like the NFL draft. We put up with many weeks of constant flip flop. Turns out he was all USCjr the whole time. The whole thing seemed like a drama filled TV show and that was annoying alot of people. Dont hate him, just dont miss him either.

BTW, are you him? your s/n says "tampavol" but your acting like "ihateorange" and the other trolls on the board. Dont seem like much of a vols fan to me

Look I never claimed to be a Vol, go back and read the last couple of pages. I went to school in that area, have a mentor as a coach that was an All American at UT, am connected to Jarvis's high school program, hell I used to work concession at Neyland, so I don't have anything against the Vols I just hate people slamming these frickin' KIDS when they're trying to make one of the most difficult decisions of their lives. Jarvis was devistated whem Fulmer was fired, how do I know, because I talked to him. He was VERY confused in the weeks after and wasn't sure what to do. I don't know how he flip flopped as you call it. Now, had Fulmer still been there and Drayton was guaranteed a job ( which at this point he's not ) and Jarvis did this then I could see people being upset. You all as fans have to understand that these decisions are EXTREMELY tough for these kids and yes sometimes they jump the gun a bit and committ when it's probably not in their best interest. These kids are heaped tons of praise from recruiters and given the royal treatment when they visit these schools and with a lot of them it's the first time they've been away from home let alone had a red carpet rolled out for them.

He NEVER had a press conference to announce UT, I can guarantee that and before you ask how I know go back and read some of my most recent posts. Heck his "announcement" as you call it came when he was up there at a football camp.

I know I'm not a senior poster here so my say is essentially insignificant, but this thread is dead. You're trolling/flaming has blemished your credibility, so I don't think you're going to change minds at this point. I'm sure you have other things to contribute outside of a recruit that is insignificant to the Volnation now.

I just wish you folks could understand the recruiting process and the pressure that not only schools, but the media put on these kids to say things. These kids have never dealt with the sharks that are the media and are easily coerced into say things that they shouldn't or don't really mean. I can promise you I am not him, nor a family member. I am however associated with his high school program and happen to know him very well. I edited the post because I did realize it was not called for. Who is being tough on him? A LOT of people on this thread, go back and read. Again I ask for some sort of proof of how he has made this an E! hollywood story?

Dude, he's not reading this stuff-- and if he is, I suggest he speak up and say something. A lot of the people on these threads are high schoolers/college kids themselves. Nobody means harm here.
