South Carolina is kinda like the short kid who kicks the bigger kids in the shin every once in a while then runs away, but no matter how hard they try they will never hang with the big kids. Go ahead little kid, take one of our new toys and run away, you know we will be back tomorrow to rub your face in the dirt.

Giles is a great player, I'm sure he'll do fine at USC. I just hope you SC fans get your licks in now because in the near future you are gonna be in a far worse situation than we are. You will still be a medeocre team looking for a new coach and you don't have the tradition, facilities, fan base, money, or recruiting to keep up. For god sakes, half the people in your state are Clemson fans! Nuf said.:p

The Ball Coach leaving + 1-3 years from now= U lose recruits to us = me on your boards pointing out how you have been, are, and always will be an after thought.


If anyone should be posting on here it should be Florida or Bama fans. You poke your nose in here to remind people that USC still has a football team. Most forget.

Don't mean to be pesky here, but do you have that former gamecock pro-bowler for me yet?

It shouldn't be too difficult a task since, as you explained, South Carolina has put as many, if not more, players in the league than UT has recently.

Does it matter? You're the guy who said Carolina's putting players in the league more frequently than Tennessee. As you've demonstrated from this pathetic list, they're not.

And, I asked for "successful" NFL players - Abraham and Brown, I'll give you......Robinson, Rice, and Simpson are insignificant in the league.

I never said we put out more successful NFL players. I said we've pretty much equaled yall in NFL output the past 3-4 years. A player can get to the NFL from USC just as easily as UT. Thats bein nice.

This year, South Carolina had 1 player taken in the draft...one...and he was taken in the damn 7th round. Tennessee put 3 in the league, including a top 10 overall pick.

In 2007, SC put 2 guys in the league, compared to 6 from Tennessee (including 4 guys in the first 2 rounds).

In 2006, the Gamecocks sent 2 guys to the league, compared to 5 from Tennessee.

So, over the past 3 years, Tennessee has outproduced South Carolina for NFL talent by a 3-to-1 ratio.

And you don't want to know how bad it was during the 90's and early 2000's.
