Giles needs to STHU and not try and leverage coaches like that. That's pretty bad for a HS player trying to do that. Granted I knew this was going to happen and it happens everytime a coaching change happens, but just shut up and play is what he should be thinking no matter who it it for.

if we don't keep Drayton and Scott. We'll be looking at a lot of recruits gone.

but at the same time, they really havent done much to improve their respective positions this season; both have actually gotten worse

Giles can take his game elsewhere. We aren't in desperate need of a 4th string runningback next year anyway.

Did Giles actually say this...or is it just speculation that he feels that way?

Giles looks to be a great prospect, but running back is probably the position where I'm least worried about our depth of talent.

It wouldn't hurt to keep a running backs coach if they could keep our best recruits. Whoever the new guy is will need someone with SEC and regional connections. Considering the names being mentioned, it will likely be an outsider so why not keep him. It would be dumb. I'm almost sure he stays if wants to stay.

South Carolina's Rivals homepage says that Giles may visit SC this weekend.

From SI:

"Pretty much, [Drayton] told me to look at Option B," said Giles, who plans to enroll at his chosen school in January. "He didn't want me to get caught up in this mess." For Giles, Option B is either South Carolina, Clemson or Boston College, with the Gamecocks holding the edge.
