To say that Dormady is making calls at the line is just false. That never happens in Butch Jones system, the play is always changed at the sideline.
I am well past the Dormady transferring conversation, but obviously you aren't. I have been consistent that i believe he would get beat out not that he was a horrible QB, He just hasn't impressed IMHO. He found a way to win and looked pretty good in the second half against GT, but he had way to many mistakes to believe that he is ready for SEC play yet. You can say what you want but he has to improve before we get deep in SEC play or we are in trouble.
I believe that he can improve, but he is far from perfect. He just needs to feel more comfortable and changing QBs in and out of the game saturday did neither QB justice for their confidence or their rythmn in the game.
I hope Dormady succeeds, because if he does the Vols Succeed and that is all that matters! Go Vols!!!
I've never said QD is or was ever gonna be a perfect qb here. I was critical of his play vs GaTech while also praising the good that he's done in that game and then the Indy State game.
And I'll admit that I'm still a bit incredulous at your statement from back in the day about QD transferring pretty much before spring classes had even started back in 2015....don't dwell on it, just reminded of it occasionally when I read one of your posts on QD that's invariably, shall we say, less than flattering.
And for what it's worth, I believe I heard Jones say yesterday in his presser that he was impressed with how QD managed the first two games including with his checks in and out of plays.
