I follow the Memphis grizzlies and have said for years that stokes is a clone of zach Randolph. He's a little shorter than most post players and a little over weight. But he bangs down low. He gets about 15- 25points and 15 rebounds a game . The guy wears down the other teams big men. He's a fan favorite for his blue collar work style. He gets it done. Just needs to develop a jumper like zbo did
Maybe I'm wrong, I claim myself as no expert, but in my mind isn't Stokes just a better version of "Big Baby" Davis?? Davis has been in the league for a while and has always found his way onto the floor. I believe there is a spot in the league for him, not as a star but as a solid contributor.
I could see Stokes maybe getting 8 and 8--max--in an off-the-bench role. I think his size and limited offensive skills will be a problem for him, but NBA teams of course don't always play a lot of defense. Defensive intensity varies greatly from team to team, from night to night.
Big baby seemed to have a little more range. I think Dejuan Blair and Jared Sullinger are good comparisons. And I think he'll fall somewhere between their draft spots. Both contribute tho.
