So Kiffin never said anything official? Some people were saying he would address it after the game. Do we know if Jackson is off suspension next week?

Love the Dancin' Outlaw! Know anywhere to get a copy of that show?

I have a friend that has the PBS recorded on VHS. I pull You-tube on occasion for a good laugh every now and then.

Maybe I have my timeline screwed up, but didn't Kiffin deny it after Hyams reported it?

Here's what I can put together:

Friday on 104.5 -Hyams hints at it but doesn't say JJ failed drug test.
Pregame on 99.1-Hyams says JJ has been suspended for failing drug test.
Post game report on 99.1 - Kiffin denies accusation.
Sunday 99.1 (per several listeners, Ras) - Hyams again reports JJ suspension was due to a failed drug test.
Today on 104.5 - Hyams agin reports JJ suspension due to a failed drug test.

Please, feel free to add or correct info!

Monterey, is your friend pretty reliable and is he sure he heard Kiffin deny the JJ allegations? That's the nail in the coffin, just want to know how far we can drive it. I wasn't listening to the radio. Thanks.

A friend of mine (who's a bouncer at the Tin Roof) said that it was quite possible he remembered this happening. That's all I'm saying.

The reason he isn't admitting for sure is because that would mean they let an underage kid in...pretty sure that is a no-no.

There's no smoking at the Tin Roof. He is a big guy, but not a big football guy, so he has no clue what Jackson looks like. He said it's quite possible he did it, but he isn't sure. He also told me that he didn't care who it was, nobody was leaving with a beer in hand. He could lose a job over that.

What does smoking have to do with anything?

He said letting underage people in. Janzen is 18. The only way he'd be letting in an 18 year old and still be underage is if there's smoking allowed at the Tin Roof.

But he still let him in, right? Not really following.

Non Smoking = 18 and up Smoking = 21 and up. Point being that since it is non smoking then Janzen was legally old enough to be there just not drinking.

If you are under 21, you are not allowed into an establishment that permits smoking. The Tin Roof does not permit smoking. Because Janzen was 18, he was allowed in as it's just a bar.
His being in the Tin Roof was completely legal. Drinking was against the law, but that wasn't on the bouncer. That was on a combination of the bartender and server.

Good Lord. If all he was doing was drinking a beer then what's the big deal? We all know it's against the law, but so is a lot of things that we all do or have done. We are such a nation of hypocrites. We scoff at something like this, but we will go to, buy, or rent movies that glorify underage drinking. Has anyone ever seen American Pie or Superbad? Hello! Of course... most everyone here has. Who here has never drank an alcoholic beverage before they turned 21?

Thank God I didn't live under a microscope when I was in college. I would have been in the news every week.

What everyone else said was that it wasn't because he was underage, it was because he was trying to leave with it in hand. That can get a bouncer fired.

Ok, I did not know that part. But, Tin Roof is an over 21 bar anyways, you can smoke outside. So i'm not so sure about this source of yours...

You can't smoke indoors though, right?

You can ask Orange Swarm, he lives with the guy. He is the bouncer, his GF is a server, and her roommate is a server as well.

I wouldn't think he is the type to make crap up. He's more an NFL guy and only follows UT because of me. He said Kiffin said it on Bob Keisling's show.
