Jamal Khashoggi

Was he in the US when this happened?

No but under the 2015 directive to the National Security Act, U.S. intelligence agencies do have a clear duty to warn any U.S. resident, U.S. citizen or not, of any known violent threats against them, notice of “impending threats of intentional killing, serious bodily injury, or kidnapping.”

“An IC element that collects or acquires credible and specific information indicating an impending threat of intentional killing, serious bodily injury, or kidnapping directed at a person or group of people (hereafter referred to as intended victim) shall have a duty to warn the intended victim or those responsible for protecting the intended victim, as appropriate. This includes threats where the target is an institution, place of business, structure, or location. The term intended victim includes both U.S. persons, as defined in EO 12333, Section 3.5(k), and non-U.S. persons.”

If Trump was threatening to cancel arms deals and impose sanctions, the minions here would not be asking why we care about a non citizen overseas. They'd be championing Trump for being stronger than Obama.

Oh come on. He was a Saudi. He badmouthed the House of Saud. How much warning did he need? It's like warning people that badmouth the Clintons. Do they really need to be warned that they could commit suicide at any moment?

Khashoggi was a U.S. resident. As a U.S. resident you are subject to all the protections of a U.S.citizen. If a nation thinks they can murder a U.S. resident with no consequence than they can do the same to a citizen.

He was not a U.S. resident when he was murdered. He was not a U.S. citizen.

The news media is hyping this story because he was a so-called journalist. A journalist is more important than an ordinary citizen, at least in their view.

Khashoggi was living in the United States on an O visa, also known as the genius visa, the O offers individuals of extraordinary ability and achievement temporary residence for up to three years.

Maybe some members of the Fascist democrat Mobs can go over there and get this hugely important crisis straightened out, and bring those murderers to justice.

Wait are you claiming that we had an idea this would happen and didn’t warn him?

“US intelligence intercepted communications of Saudi officials discussing a plan to capture” Khashoggi”

Saudis are said to have lain in wait for Jamal Khashoggi

“The Saudis wanted to lure Khashoggi back to Saudi Arabia and lay hands on him there, this person said. It was not clear whether the Saudis intended to arrest and interrogate Khashoggi or to kill him, or if the United States warned Khashoggi that he was a target.”

Yet another useless law...

Now, did they warn him?

This isn't really our business and I don't expect or want us to get any more involved with the ******** going on over there than we already are. Trump's just like every other president though, spineless when it comes to Saudi Arabia. We don't have to go to war with them but it's pretty damn obvious what happened here and Trump downplaying it is more of the same hypocrisy we as a country have displayed for decades in our dealings with the countries from the region.

Trump tonight said he believes their story.

He's lying or he's an imbecile. Take your pick.

Why can’t we just stay the hell out of other country’s business?

Ok, they killed it. It sucks. But we got enough issues that need fixed her and this nation building crap is for the birds.

Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro: "Jared Kushner may have, with U.S. intelligence, delivered a hit list, an enemies list, to the crown prince, to MBS, in Saudi Arabia and that the prince may have acted on that, and one of the people he took action against is Mr. Khashoggi." pic.twitter.com/4z1xYmSrDn
— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) October 19, 2018

And there’s this....

You honestly think trump wants to wait and get all the facts? He's not going to do sht. You think his value system is going to blow up a $100B arms deal and risk pissing off OPEC because some camel jockey WaPo reporter was offed? LOL

Edit: I should point out that this isn't our problem, we've got bigger fish to fry. That cat knew what he was doing and I'm a firm believer in the adage of "talk sht, get hit." Maybe don't criticize the people who have the will, power and means to make you disappear.
Bullseye..... and I don't think any of our recent former presidents would have done squat either..... they'll be some behind close doors deal made
