J Jennings Dismissed from UT

With him being dismissed, what control does UT have in regards to where he ends up and if he could play next year?
none but the mere fact he was dismissed and the reasons for such will preclude any non desperate power 5 teams for looking at him seriously. Honestly I am a bit let down. Hindsight is 20/20 and looking at his weird absence all year since being hurt it all kinda makes sense. Also the he wanted to play QN at vandy and the coaches likely laughed him out the door fits into his whole "they lied to me" thing.

Why in the heck would he want to play QB? A WR on average in the NFL is gonna make more money and have a longer career and more opportunities to play. Only 1 QB plays at a time and 2-3 on roster.. most teams keep 5-7 wr's and play around 5 normally throughout a game. Yeah a franchise QB makes a lot more than a WR but an average decent #2 wr is gonna make more over his career than most qb's with less week to week stress.

I highly doubt any coach told him he'd play QB, so how does this fit into his saying the coaches lied to him?

What?

How are those two scenarios really equivocal?

Not going to get into all of it but you can fail drug tests, beat someone up, steal and cuss coaches out and some expect him to be coddled yet a player who took a girl who was “allegedly” raped to the hospital is called a traitor and got beat up by other players and ran off the team. Not saying equal but you get my drift or maybe it’s over your head.

I didn't know he wanted to play QB.

QB impacts the game more than WR. He dislikes Vandy a bunch. It was important to him for the Vols to win. He has bigger fish to fry these days.

Wow, are you indicating that he ranted a one sided story that was completely true and people bekieved it because that what they want to believe?

Never heard of that happening.
