IUPUI Transfer: Ian Chiles (UT commit 5/13/14)

@JimmyHyams: Guard Ian Chiles of Indiana U. Purdue U. at Indianapolis is on unofficial visit to UT. He is graduate student and could play right away"

Would be interesting if it's UOV

Hyams appears to be in tight with the new staff. He is putting out some good info before the other guys do.

It was from California to Portland. I actually took greyhound. Plane tickets do not cost thousands or nobody would fly. I get 79 dollar flight offers from priceline a lot.

Kamari Murphy currently resides in Stillwater, OK....if you can show me how he can get here and back in a timely manner, lodging for 2 days and meals for 2 days for under $1,000 I would be pretty impressed.

Cheapest flight from OKC to KNX is $737 before any taxes.

Five figures is probably way over the top unless they are flying first class, staying in a suite at the Hyatt downtown, and eating three meals a day at Flemings. That said, those unofficial visits can add up, and $1000+ for a cross country trip is likely.

That's expensive for a flight. You can get a decent room for about 50-70 bucks a night if it isn't a holiday. He could live on 50-100 bucks a Fay for food. I was able to pull off 5-20 a day in food where monopolies exist.

I can't see where we get to 10,000 dollars to me that's insane.

Lol my math was lacking, I meant $1,000 which is obviously 4 digits and not 5....my bad everyone lol

That's my fault, I meant $1,000+ which obviously is 4 digits not 5, my fault.

$737 isn't a lot if you have to book at the last minute, and we don't have the luxury of setting these things up months in advance.

Does conference affiliation negate NCAA rules?

I like to think you have followed big time college recruiting for a little while. I also like to think your not naive enough to think that "benefits" to SEC recruits is something new. I get it's a sensitive matter, but I also know for a fact it's not uncommon AT ALL.

So like I said you're accusing our new coach of already committing major NCAA violations? Conference affiliation, and the assumption of common practice doesn't all of a sudden make it not a NCAA violation.
