It's with a heavy heart....

When I first started VN a few years ago, figured out pretty quickly RR was pretty cool. I hate to see this happen to any family, especially a VFL. I know how his kids feel. I was in their shoes at the age of 6. Thank God for family and friends. They were my mentors. I hope his children grow strong and always think of RR as the way I think of mine today. I know he is looking down on his kids and saying, "I am right here and always will be." I have always felt my dad doing it. I have prayed and will
continue to pray for this family.

Go VOLS!!
Rangers Lead The Way
Great post. Sorry for your loss too.

Wow.

These are truly humbling experiences. It takes a minute to really understand that a real living, breathing person sits behind a computer or holds onto an iPad or a cellphone to post in a community with fellow fans. That suddenly the person who posted behind that name will never post again, not because he/she doesn't want to anymore or because of a silly internet ban bet, but because they're gone.

Knowing you may not have always agreed with that person's opinions, that you won't ever even see them post anymore is a harrowing realization. Some of us are closer to the posting community than others, but it definitely feels like a piece is just suddenly missing out of the puzzle.

Thoughts and prayers are on their way to his family. I can't imagine the things they are going through.

One of Rich's last posts was logging 123 hrs. In 9 days ( check it). That works out to over 13 hrs. a day. That seems to me that fatigue took his life and I'm thinking he was driving way over the legal daily limit. I don't know as Im not a truck driver. I'm asking any pro drivers out there that if you think this was not right, please post in his thread so his wife can pick up on it and sue the living crap out of his company.

Her name is Yvonne Coffey if you want to message on FB

I'm wondering if that's on the company or not. He might have to have signed something saying he would abide by certain standards. I'm no expert though. If the company pushed him over human limits, his family deserved better and should sue every cent off said company.

I'm with you Odd. I just don't know. I do know just about every truck on the road is tracked by the company and they know who is driving, where they are, how long they have been on the road. That's for sure.

Read the lambert thread for a detailed response.

This is a message from his wife to Volnation that she wanted me to pass along.

Thank you! I am so overwhelmed with the out pouring of support we have received from friends, family and complete strangers. I don't know how to blog on volnation even though I also love the vols, but if you can please let them know how grateful me and my boys are for their support. Rubin will be wearing orange and white and will have 100 orange and white roses. I have also purchased him a new UT Football Jersey to place in his casket.

this from her as well

if anyone plans on attending from volnation tell them to wear their orange!

VolinArizona, you should change the goal to $5000, now that the original goal has been passed in less than 24 hours. Amazing! The term "VFL" is truly being defined with this effort for someone who almost all of us never knew. Great job, VN!

The world has now lost a proud father and VFL.

You will be greatly missed by your family here at VolNation.

Just got back home here in Italy and read this aweful news. RIP RR and God bless your family. I couldn't fathom the pain they are experiencing. As soon as I get home from work I will be donating to RR and his family.

First time poster. Proud of Volnation and the Big Orange community My prayers and thoughts are with his wife and children. May our Lord comfort them now and in the future as once things return to normal for most of us, they will still be dealing with the loss of a husband, father, and friend.

Folks, I think we need to challenge ourselves and raise the goal to 5 figures. If 1,000 members gave $10 (basically one fast food meal), then this family would receive $10,000.
Let's do this!!!
