It seems I made a mistake. Tomorrow is the anniversary of his passing. My eyes saw 12/16 when it was actually 12/18 when I started the thread. My apologies.

It was one year ago today that we got the horrifying news about Rubin (Rich Rollin). It's hard to believe he's gone. Take a moment say a prayer for both Rubin's family as well as anyone dealing with loss around the holidays.

Also, I would like to mention again how unbelievable it was to see my Volnation family rally around this tragedy by supporting them both monetarily and with prayer. It was unbelievable to be able to hand over a check in excess of $10,000 to his widow Yvonne. I said to myself at the time, "Did we just do this?".

As to his family, they appear to be doing well. While, I haven't talked to Yvonne lately, I gave Rubin's son a ride home from school the other day. He said he's getting along fine.

Just wanted to bump this thread today just so we can take a moment to remember Rubin and his family and as a reminder to not take life for granted. Give your loved ones an extra hug and be thankful for them. Also, remember the reason for the season and that the true Christmas gift was from God and his name is Jesus.

:hi:

Great post.

Hug your families tight and pray for those that can't. Either because they are no longer with us or just miles away defending our nation. Prayers to RR's family. This time of year is hard enough but to have the loss of your husband and father resurface every year only adds to the difficulty. God, bless us all and place your healing hand on those in need this time of year.
