It's with a heavy heart....

Always enjoyed Rubin's RichRollin banter and comments. My heart is broken for his wife and children. As a father, this is my greatest fear. I think we can all take something away from this: 1) There are real people behind these avatars and 2) Our VolNation community is truly an amazing bunch of folks. God bless Rubin and the Coffey Family. You're in my thoughts. Donation made.

Wow...that is horrible news. Will be praying for the family. I have to say that I'm very proud of the volnation family. Stepping up in someone else's time of need.

I told Yvonne about Vol Nation and the fund, but she already heard about it. She was shocked at the kindness from people who never met Rubin. She told me that the Powell Youth League is planning to do a fundraiser also.

She said that Rubin will be wearing orange, and he will have an orange and white spray of flowers. I told her about Rubin's last post, and she laughed. She said she knew it would be something about putting down Bama. She also told me that they showed her a crimson casket, and she was like hell no. She is planning to look at Vol Nation once she gets Rubin's phone back.

If you are coming to the service feel free to wear orange and white. He wouldn't have it no other way.

This is a good family, and thanks to everyone that has contributed.

I am involved with the Powell Youth Sports and we are going to do something Saturday for them. Hopefully it will be a big turnout and raise a lot for them. Tragic news and hate to think of those kids not having their Dad around. So many these days choose not to be there for their kids and seeing a great Dad lost like this really is tough.

Please post your plans for Saturday.

Pretty sure we are sending out a notice to all parents to give to this family and another that lost their Dad also around Thanksgiving. There are games all day at Powell High, Powell Sports Complex, and Powell Middle. We will accept donations all day and 100% will go to both families. GoFundMe is great, but about 10% administrative charge on that. I am really hoping for a large turnout and generous giving. We are trying to get local news channels to run a story on Friday evening to direct people to give. Anyone is welcome to come out and contribute.

Awesome. I thought that website only charged 2-3%. VolinArizona set it up for us so I'm not sure.

Thanks to everyone that set up the website to donate. I did not know him but I pray what little we were able to donate will help comfort his family through this tragedy. Will be praying for you.

This board gets called a lot of things and sometimes little things that happen to our beloved Vols cause folks to differ on opinion. But I'll say that it warms my heart to see folks showing the support and warmth that I've seen on here today. Cudos to you all and good luck to his family.

Thank you to you and others for being our ambassadors to Rubin's family. Words do not do justice to the love we feel for them.

Thanks again for such a great family of fans. We all don't get along all the time but we cheer for the the greatest team in all the land. GO VOLS! I'd rather be a Vol and lose every game for the rest of my time than to be called a fan of any other team! Rocky Top til the day I die! If anyone has a problem with that then they can kiss my orange a$$!!

When I first started VN a few years ago, figured out pretty quickly RR was pretty cool. I hate to see this happen to any family, especially a VFL. I know how his kids feel. I was in their shoes at the age of 6. Thank God for family and friends. They were my mentors. I hope his children grow strong and always think of RR as the way I think of mine today. I know he is looking down on his kids and saying, "I am right here and always will be." I have always felt my dad doing it. I have prayed and will continue to pray for this family.

Go VOLS!!
