It's with a heavy heart....

This is just terrible. I can't imagine what his family is going through right now. Thanks so much to ViA for setting up the donation page. It's the least we can do to help out a fellow Vol.

This is devastating news. JUCO signing day is meaningless to me now. It's a hard way to learn perspective. :(

I spend every day with you guys and gals. We unite in a common goal (trolls excluded). In the new millennium connected world, we're all friends. We don't always get along but I do care about your well-being.

Please drive safe and take care. I wanna celebrate with all of you on signing day.

RIP Rich

Closing in on $1000 in an hour's time. I may bicker with some of you guys from time to time, but you all are the greatest people in the world. I love VolNation.

Hey chig - nope, not my family. Just helping facilitate the fundraising. I made the page so that's why my name is attached.

Well Doug, you're a hell of a guy for doing so! Good to hear from you and hope you are well! Thoughts to the grieving family!

This is awful news. Never knew Rich personally, but always had alot of respect for him as a poster because he was on GVX the same time I was and he was one of only a few posters in that dumpster fire I liked and saw things in the same light as. I soon got out of there and came here, and Rich joined soon after. Felt like sort of a band of brothers thing for anyone who got past GVX and came here. Prayers sent, God Bless.

Good lord.
My dad died in a car wreck when I was 11.
Older brother, older sister, younger brother, younger sister. Those kids lives just became a little tougher.
May Gods bless them.

Very well said mike4vols, a very tough way to learn. My prayers go out to the family and also to everyone in our VN community who will be traveling over the holidays, Please be safe.

Donated.

Was nearly $1,100 when I did...we can get this to $5K people. Let's do it!

My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He was a quality poster and seemed to be a quality guy as well

Prayers and Donation sent. I have been scrolling through this thread and the outpouring of respect and prayers is wonderful to see. We are for the most part anonymous but I feel like I know many of you through our interactions on VN. RR was an excellent and passionate poster. I am also a father of three children and I truly feel sick about this tradgedy. I will continue to keep Rubin's family in my thoughts and prayers throughout the holiday season. I hope that the folks on here that knew Rubin personally will let his family know that we are all with them.

I say tweet it to everyone associated with UT. I would if I had a twitter.

We can raise a LOT if we get it to the right people.
