it's likely that Smart will lend his 2 cents and blow-up the matter. I think the deal is way over-blown from get-go. Here's the story I got.......Niedemeyer gave Eric Gray a school issued bank card and instructed to show Mims a good time while on a recruitment trip to Knoxville. I don't think Mim's went to any local car dealerships and drove a nice shiny car back to Ga.This reeks of Kirby Smart
You got it.it's likely that Smart will lend his 2 cents and blow-up the matter. I think the deal is way over-blown from get-go. This is likely to have occurred and another player who escorted Mims was aware of the situation. That's 3 UT players/coaches with direct knowledge and Mims, who likely told Smart about the matter. The purchases made on that card on that particular weekend will be the extent. Other things unanswered thus far are Pruitt's involvement and if he even knew at all.
Bottom line is are there any other violations involving other coaches and is this an ongoing thing at UT? IMO this appears minimal on the surface and an ongoing investigation may reveal more but I feel Pruitt may not have even been aware that this was going on, meaning Nied's and players were acting on there own. Hopefully this is as far as it goes and we can get some decent coaches in here, finish recruiting, and get a full spring practice that's much needed. I think that's why the 2 lawyers were brought in .....to simply expedite the matter.
Exactly. As I stated above this whole deal is way over-hyped. It's VN though so let it run it's wild course. Fake news is the current expression being used by many. This is the equivalent of a very, very, minor misdemeanor, imo and so minor that Pruitt may not have bee aware of it. After watching our ILBer play this year, the coach likely to get the boot is Nieds and I'm sure UT can do better in finding a good LBing coach. The fact that Will Friend chose to leave and take a 100k pay cut in doing so likely reveals that Fulmer, (former OL coach), expected much more from our OL this past season and he knew the axe was coming.Pruitt will be back next season just watch
Then why isn’t Pruitt able to hire any assistants?Exactly. As I stated above this whole deal is way over-hyped. It's VN though so let it run it's wild course. All in all I'm predicting that Pruitt will be retained and maybe make some decent hires and hopefully get some much needed practice this spring. All the media thinks about anymore is attention-grabbing headlines to get those almighty clicks to boost their advertising revenue and who makes a better story than good ole UT?

I don't have any insight either way... but I don't think interviews would stop until a decision were finalized. If they start making offers and signing contracts then he's for sure staying. Really tough place for Pruitt or anyone to be in. He has to keep working as if nothing will change... knowing that it may.In the process of interviewing o-line candidates now.
