It's Les Miles

And at UT, he would have to beat Saban twice a year to get to any playoff scenario!

I was always taught "walk before you run". Tennessee is a light year away from the playoffs. Lets just get to a 7-5 or 8-4 respectable season.

I am completely disappointed that the mismanagement of this university (Davenports decision to hire an AD no coach would work for is on her) has resulted in having to consider Les Miles as a head coach. He took over an established program and despite gross coaching malpractice, still couldn't run it into the ground until almost 10 yrs later. We'll see if he can pull something out of the ditch. We know he can put something in there.

I'd take a Miles Hire. Part of righting the ship....LSU treated Miles about like UT treated Fulmer. I could see CPF giving him a shot at at redemption.

I will happily take Les Miles.........only reason why LSU fired him was because he couldn't beat Saban. Only two coaches that I can think of have been able to beat him more than once, Gus M. and Hugh Freeze.

Miles is a proven winner with Championships under his belt. I would take him in two seconds.

If he takes the job, Les Miles would be the ONLY active coach with 3 wins versus Nick Saban. Richt, Meyer, and Malzahn each have 2 wins.

He has beat Saban more than anyone else. Plus this isn't true. We could make it beating someone else in the SCG and having one loss on the season to Bama. Or we could split with Bama and still make it. He has had more success than anyone else vs Bama.

Bama Fan here.

LSU made a huge mistake firing Les. While I'm happy coach O is in charge cause he an idiot. It was crazy to let him go, but that is the SEC.

To those who say he got fired in SEC... He basically couldn't beat Bama... How many teams have beaten Bama since Saban showed up.

He could not find and develop a QB.

Based on what PF said Tee isn't coming cause he wants someone with experience. Les would be a great hire for your school if you bring in the right coordinators and a good QB coach.

The smartest thing that has been said in this thread. Very well done, even if it is by a Bama fan.

If you can't even spell his name right, don't start a thread about him.

And don't say it's a done deal without a link to prove it.

Sheesh.

I think Miles will be a great hire with a good OC. Not sure if Tee will come to TN as a OC, but if Steele comes as the DC, the conference better watch out with our talent.

So Miles is going to get all that talent out of Louisiana? Doubt it.

The Cleveland Browns are that terrible that Myles (Garrett) is retiring after one year to pursue coaching?

For what it's worth, I was at Anderson this morning and this seems to be the general consensus in there. I was convinced, short of seeing Miles walking down the hallway in orange.

I don't think a threat title including "done deal" should be followed up with content that contains "looks like".

I don't think those words mean what you think they mean.
