Heh, PhilBerry, as appetizing as this might initially sound, we can't do it.
We're all Vols. Well, except for the handful of Gators, two or three Dawgs who magically disappear for a few months after we beat them each year, two Wildcats, and a smattering of transients who pop in from time to time. Put them aside, and we're all Vols. The good, the bad, the ugly, and NationDom. Not calling NationDom beyond bad or anything, he's just you know, in a category all his own. He's unique.
And that's why we can't do it. You can't excommunicate your weird uncle Bert, the one who shows up at Christmas, in the blizzard, riding a Harley and wearing a hand-made aluminum foil hat as a helmet, with Mexican refried beans as his side dish. Bert may be a certified lunatic, but he's still family.
And that's how it is here. We're all family. Even the ones whose viewpoints are so totally out of whack with yours that you can't imagine ever agreeing with them on anything. Pick a name. Yeah, that guy, the really negative one. He's still a good old boy, a Vol fan, just one who revels in pushing things others value off a cliff.
Now, I personally am tempted to make one huge exception to this rule: D4H. He is clearly not a Volunteers fan. He has admitted so himself. He has wished ill on our team, both coaches and players. So for me personally, D4H has ceased to exist as an active voice on the board. But he still has the right to show up, and some people still respond to him.
Just one big old, dysfunctional, semi-insane family.
