Well this might not be popular but here goes...Bob Kesling does so much more than folks on VN realize..I can personally attest to the amount of PR work he does by phoning in to radio call-in shows, devoting time for TV and newspapers, and spending huge amounts of time promoting the UT programs..I have to say doing ALL sports is very difficult but despite what some post here or say elsewhere, I like Bob and admire him for the work he does and the work that goes totally unrecognized..Everybody has their own opinion about him and that's great..But when you have to follow John Ward, most anybody would come up short, regardless of what they do..There might be a better voice, there might be a more talented announcer and there might be someone else that UT fans would prefer but IMHO Bob Kesling does the job with orange blood through and through..

P.S.-It could be Randy Smith and almost was, so it could be worse

He can't even get the names of our players right, there's a difference between having a tough act to follow and being completely incompetent.

I wish some of you would quit with the Fire Bob crap. The fact is is that it wouldn't matter who we hired, nobody is ever gonna be good enough.

I guess everyone feels differently. I just don't think it's the end of the world if he announces the games like some.

Look, Kesling is here and none of your *****ing is going to do anything about it. Secondly, if you think that the band wasn't playing during the game then you simply weren't there. I was. I've been there every home game for the last 6 years. I love The Pride of The Southland. People should really try to find something new to gripe about.

I'm not totally against Bob but he's pretty stupid. My only question is, fire him, then who do we get to replace him?

Listening to Kesling, Hyams, Josh Ward, etc., I feel like they would benefit greatly by taking a peek at VN from time to time..I mean seriously, ur supposed to listen to those guys for info, but they just don't do their homework at all, it seems. I, and several others on here know so much more about current happenings of UT football and basketball the majority of the time. I could see how their info could help some of their hillbilly listeners who don't venture on the internet, but cmon...

I'm pretty indifferent when it comes to BK. Sure he sucks on play-by-play, but who could they replace him with that would match his truly EPIC level of suck on Vol Calls? Not the same without him IMO.
