It’s Pruitt

Because JG was playing well through the first 2 games of the year. Then he has a bad game against the best D in the country and all of a sudden he's done? Of course not. Noone saw this coming today, not even Pruitt.
Uhhh

Literally dozens of people did on this board man haha. It's not like he was gangbusters the 1st two games.

Not trying to bash you bro.
I've not been high on JG since before he got here.

We just have to hope and pray Bailey develops into a baller. Pruitt's job rests on it
Yep.

Well he's a 5 star...
So he should have as good a chance as any QB prospect. Needs practice with the ones ll week and overtime if possible.

Stoops has been there 8 years. I'm not saying Pruitt is the answer, but we hired a first time head coach and he should get time to learn. If we wanted a proven coach, we shouldn't have hired him. Firing him at this point doesn't make sense to me.
You learn from your mistakes...CJP is not learning in fact his pride seems to be hindering him

lack of DV of backup is Pruitt.

It's JG man.
Maurer was healthy enough to play.
Shrout got one series. Pruitt doesn't respect Shrout because Shrout followed his girlfriend to college all the way from Cali...

How is he going to be able to? That's the question. This staff has already demonstrated they don't develop the back-ups. I understand that Bailey has missed a lot which isn't his or the coaches fault at this point, but that makes the situation worse. The other 2 have been on the roster for 2yrs and still aren't ready to play. Watch, they'll still strut JG out there the rest of the season. JG also likely comes back next yr on account of it and it will be the same song and dance. I hope to God I'm proven wrong, but I doubt it.

Yet another week where we are down by double digits and we continue to run the ball up the middle between the hash marks. Just like it didn’t work all game.

Chaneys call playing is like he goes to Golden Corral buffet. Straight to the middle and meat every time. Ignore the salad and deserts. Middle

I'm basically saying we just have to hope Bailey develops on his own time. Like Josh Dobbs did because lord knows he wasn't getting proper coaching.

He needs to just play Bailey from here on out. Get the future started now. Looks like the season is evolving into a bust. Let’s grow the next signal caller.
Evolving into a bust? We just lost to KENTUCKY at HOME by 27 POINTS. No matter what else happens this season is over. Jg needs to be benched. The qb coach and oline coach needs to be replaced. Truly embarrassing imo.

UT's defense and O-line looks like they are running in concrete shoes. Are those Nike issued?

Pruitt just said on defense we got the size we got the depth, but for some reason we’re not getting it done. It’s the university of Tennessee’s way

I get that...I just don't see any coach pulling a QB after a bad game against GAs D. Today is a different story.

I don't think he played great that game but he did throw the game winning td...and it was the first game of the season. Then he looked solid against MO. I just don't think a bad game against GA is enough to pull him.
Youre seriously defending this clown still?

This is the type of loss that derails a season unless they can rally behind bailey. But make no mistake this falls on Pruitt because he didn't pull JG out.

Yep. His stubbornness might be his undoing. If JG gives us the best chance to win then we are in a world of trouble.

Weinke needs to be gone immediately. He's certainly the weak link of this staff. O-Line was better today. Defense played okay, but have up way too many slant passes and looked like they gave up late (though the offense did absolutely nothing in the second half).

I think we should just start Bailey and let him take his lumps. Clearly JG ain't getting the job done. The offense just needs some life.

Only about half the membership on Vol nation
Saw it coming. Maybe not predicting the exact game, but we no he has 3-4 bad games every year. Sometimes it’s back to back, sometimes 3 games in between, but we all know it’s coming.
