It’s happening

Good grief people, this happens every year. It will either get worked out or it won't...and if it's the latter, it probably wasn't going to be the proper solution.

Am I Right?

2 years ago, when Smart took Georgia's job, he split time. Remained Bama’s DC through playoffs, spent the morning doing Georgia head coaching things/recruiting, spent the afternoon doing Bama DC things/game prep. Saban actually provided him an office and staff to assist him with the Georgia stuff. #themoreyouknow.

Surely to God above, after all the ish our program and university had been through the last 3+ weeks during this ish shoe of a coaching search, no Vol fan is gonna balk at Pruitt doing both.

This just in....

Pruitt is not Kirby Smart.

I would be more than fine if he coaches for Bama because every time his name is mentioned or he is shown on tv that just gives us more attention as well

Watching our next coach on Alabama's sideline after he has accepted this job is something I may not be able to stomach.

Pruitt is free to split time in my book as long as he doesnt make a dime from UT until he is here full time. Prorate his first year salary accordingly. UT money SHALL NOT be used to do ANYTHING to further football at Bama.

Alabama delenda est

Gotta be honest. I wouldn't want a coach who would walk away from his team in the middle of a NC hunt. That was one thing that impressed me about Kirby. He did a great job on both fronts; helping Bama win a NC and shoring up our recruiting class. It can be done and it shows great character, IMHO.

I agree, and think of the free pub we would get when their D makes a great play. "Future TN coach Pruitt's defense" is one of the reason AL is in the playoffs. Every 4* and 5* kid will be watching. That's marketing you can't buy.

How'd he work around the early signing period?

What’s big deal as long as he recruits for us and coaches in playoffs.

I don't think he should be wearing two hats at once. It would be different if we weren't talking about a hated rival here... How can he effectively recruit for Tennessee while helping Alabama win the National Championship?

Get over yourself.

It will be great publicity for Tennessee every time his face comes up on tv they will popup Tennessee HC and if the defense plays well they will talk about him even more!

Do you really think that the media that has trashed everything Tennessee is going to spin any comments in Tennessee's favor?

It will be Saban's defense, Saban's team. Get real!

I say let him do double duty, as a thief of Bamas best targets and UTs next HC.
Let him go sabotage their class by either pulling them to ours or telling them to run from the Elf.

Sadly that won’t happen and he would probably be more likely to tell ours to go there so the roster is loaded when saban retires.
