If he wants the job then he needs to come coach Tennessee NOW. You would think any coach worth a $hit would want to start recruiting for his team immediately. Bama could be playing well into January and that’s unacceptable. If he doesn’t want to do that then he needs to keep his @ss in Alabama.

I am going to back whomever the coach because I want Tennessee to WIN ALWAYS. Whatever you call me or think of me it does matter to me he is a Bama and he needs to become coach RIGHT NOW not later. Looks like he is going to be the coach so nothing I can really say or do about it but just root for Tennessee and hope I grow to like him. Winning will do that.

My Uber driver has a friend that has a girlfriend that is the daughter of a man who’s father sells rhinestones to a woman that makes jumpsuits for Elvis.
Apparently Elvis, (and this is just hearsay so don’t shoot the messenger), has a source close to the coaching search that has said Mike Dubose is close to signing a UT deal. Freddie Kitchens is coming with him to be the QB coach.

Kirby did that when he took the Georgia job, he said that he was putting in 16 hour days and making quite a few recruiting calls at night.

It seemed to work out fine for Georgia.

2 years ago, when Smart took Georgia's job, he split time. Remained Bama’s DC through playoffs, spent the morning doing Georgia head coaching things/recruiting, spent the afternoon doing Bama DC things/game prep. Saban actually provided him an office and staff to assist him with the Georgia stuff. #themoreyouknow.

Surely to God above, after all the ish our program and university has been through the last 3+ weeks during this ish show of a coaching search, no Vol fan is gonna balk at Pruitt doing both.

So if he coaches at Bama and takes the job - how does he avoid conflicts of interest with any recruits he may come into contact with that are looking at both schools?

He would have to stop recruiting for Bama and be recruiting for Tennessee - which implies he would either be:

- Recruiting against the team he is coaching.
- Recruiting against the team he is going to.

Probably wasn't a problem when there was no early signing date. Is he going to be talking to recruits as the Bama DC or the Tennessee HC? That could be a problem and conflict of interest.

He needs to start his new job immediately.

I feel for Bama (well maybe not) but no way he can recruit for one school without undermining the other.

I agree. He can do both especially with the game being during the dead period. He deserves to see it through.
