I would guess it's because they don't identify with Israel as closely as they do their own personal domestic politics. Republicans are Zionists. People need to understand Anti-Zionism is not Anti-Semitic.

My buddy is a religion professor and he spent like 4 years in Arabic countries, on semesters abroad as a student. Egypt multiple times. Jordan. I forget where else. Most people are Anti-American, but not Anti-Americans. He was either treated like everybody else, or at worst, ignored. They were against the American regime, not American people.

And it's the same with Anti-Zionism. I wouldn't call myself Anti-Zionist, but I bet a lot of people here would. I love what I know about Israeli people. They are impressive. I don't know any Jewish-Americans that I don't like. Some of them don't care for the state of Israel, because it's a fallible regime, not a people. It's not Anti-Semitic to oppose the state of Israel. It's not anti-Palestinian to oppose Hamas. It's not Anti-Americans to oppose America's government.

A lot of Zionists in America don't seem to care when somebody (like Kanye) says Anti-Semitic things. I do. Zionists in America want the Jews to return home. I'm happy to have them here, LOL.
