Israel vs Palestinians II

No harm, the to & fro can bring out the unflattering in any of us. I think we all get used too easily and have to get together on some basic tenets of fair play and rule of law, or fly apart as a country.

I wasn't thinking Hamas at all until reading a pretty objective take that while alleging ti was an Israeli tank round (M830A1), it is not known what Hamas munitions might replicate that type of hole in a vehicle. I'd read the round is a high-explosive round (anti-tank or armored machines), wondered why the car and ambulance weren't blown to dust. I assumed it's possible the thin-sheet metal of vehicles might not provide enough resistance for the penetrating nose to depress and set off the charge, thus allowing it to just pass through.

Also, saw reference to the small arms round used at the scene, the 7.62. Most commonly used 7.62 military rounds today are the 7.62x51 running 147-180 grain bullet, and the 7.62x39 (AK type rifles) running 125-150 grain bullets. The Israeli tank does run auxiliary 7.62x51 type guns, while soldiers' rifles are primarily 5.56 typically 55 grain. Hamas might be carrying anything they could come by, but a lot of 7.62x39 AK types. If all the bullets dug out of the vehicles were 7.62x51, that would greatly increase the likelihood of Israeli tank-fired rounds. (in addition to the M830A1).

If you know something about small arms munitions, sincere apologies for just boring the hell out of you.
The ambulance was basically demolished and burnt to a crisp with a giant entry hole in the back but the researchers from WaPo said just from looking at it they couldn’t say for sure what destroyed it. They said the car was only shot with 762 but didnt say if it was 51’s or 39’s. But if the researchers were correct with the rounds per minute it wouldn’t be an AK

You say it isn’t a leftist thing, I’d disagree. It’s probably similar to Trump’s support between the left and right.

As of a Gallup poll conducted in July 2025, Benjamin Netanyahu's approval rating in the U.S. demonstrates a significant partisan divide:

  • Right (Republicans): Netanyahu enjoys a high favorability among Republicans, with 67% viewing him positively.
  • Left (Democrats): Among Democrats, his favorability is significantly lower at just 9%.
  • Independents: Independents fall in between, with a favorability of 19%.
The latest I could find was from June 2024 on how Israelis view Netanyahu. I’m sure it’s gonna be down but pretty much divided as you would expect

Saying ‘stereotypes exist for a reason’ ignores that they’re usually distortions born out of bias, not reality. They persist because people repeat them, not because they’re accurate reflections of individuals.

Hence @Orangeslice13 and your fixation on Muslim leadership not condemning terrorist attacks, despite there being evidence.

Stereotypes are earned and only slightly distorted.

I spent about 5 minutes looking for that breakdown list then got distracted by fishing videos.

🚨 Professor Shayoni Mitra, Theater, Barnard/Columbia University.

No biggie. Just an Ivy League professor posting on her social media that violent resistance is necessary to remove all Jews from Israel.

I'm sure that never spills over into her courses, which begin in 2 weeks.

When Israel attacks Palestinian extremists and civilians get caught up in it remember to condemn this pig as well. She's a part of the problem.

Israel lied about having tanks in the area, US ammunition found, the head of coordination for Cogat said the paramedics was given a recovery route
You have a better link than me?
The Post’s review also found that the ambulance was discovered along a route provided by COGAT, an arm of the Israeli Defense Ministry that generally coordinates safe passage for medical vehicles with the IDF. COGAT initially referred specific questions about the ambulance to the IDF.
In mid-March, Elad Goren, head of Coordination and Liaison Administration at COGAT, told The Post that the agency “coordinated everything … including the ambulance that wanted to go and find Hind,” but said he was “not aware” of the specifics. COGAT did not respond to repeated requests to clarify. Palestinian Paramedics Said Israel Gave Them Safe Passage to Save a 6-Year-Old Girl in Gaza. They Were All Killed. – Just International
The article I linked only infers, by the head of COGAT's statement, that the paramedics were given a recovery route.

I find it very suspicious that PRCS releases recordings of phone calls with the girls and radio transmissions of communications with the ambulance paramedics, but not the in-between communications with COGAT that would provide actual proof.

No that was it. The WaPo said they reviewed the what’s app messages between the two including the map they received. So sounds like there was no call to rec

The audio of the phone call could have been falsified.

There’s a middle tn guy that has a YouTube channel called better days fishing. He tells everyone exactly where he’s fishing which irritates me because some of the places he goes…. I go…. And there’s already enough people that know of these places. He wears some of the dumbest looking hats and crocs too…. One day I’ll be on the Caney and run into him and I’m gonna rag him like hell about his goofy as hell headwear. I can’t wait

WATCH: Maya Schem survived Hamas captivity. Her testimony rips away the lies:
Hamas moved her in ambulances.
•Hamas hid her in UN facilities.
•Hamas sheltered in hospitals and schools.

These aren’t accusations— they’re eyewitness facts. Clear war crimes, exposed by a hostage who lived them.

And still, much of the world looks away.

Maya’s courage is undeniable. So is the truth.

The only question: how long will the world keep denying it?

Gotcha. I'm still looking for more than WaPo's word, though. I'd like to see it established through several pre & post incident messages with corroborating time stamps, that WhatsApp was/is the medium of communication between COGAT & PRCS.

Isn't WhatsApp encrypted? Is there a way to unequivocally prove that PRCS received clearance from COGAT?
The audio of the phone call could have been falsified.
No. Too absurd. That's right up there with thinking Israel intentionally blocked a road by hitting a building with a precision missle, just so they could kill a little girl and her family.

I think this tragedy is most likely a combination of Occam & Hanlon's razors. I blame Hamas for creating the situation. PCRS could be lying about receiving clearance. Or, some idiot within COGAT/IDF could have failed to relay the clearance message to the combat opps........

You listen to the southern fly podcast by David Perry?
He gives really good information about the elk and caney without giving any too many specifics.
