ISIS Takes Control of Mosul

Separating my partisanship/bias, I think I can objectively say Obama is a POS. Hillary has more backbone than that clown.

There are multiple scenarios that can happen if we don't act. We could see Isis conquering all of Iraq, Iran responding, and possibly coming out with an Iranian superstate. We could see Isis going into the more moderate ME states like Jordan or Saudi Arabia who won't have the means to stop them once all of Iraq's resources are in Isis' control.

Sick ****ers. That's for sure.

If you didn't know these guys were evil before than you have your head in the sand (I'm not taking about you just in general). With that said the article could have left out the whole "woe is me" and "American Christian persecution" hysterics.

Certainly the site had an agenda in mind that went beyond simply demonstrating ISIS atrocities, but the point remains that ISIS is a horrible, horrible thing.

0 testy at his presser. Someone needs a vacation. Blamed Bush for Iraq and said it wasnt his decision to pull troops out (he sure celebrated it)

IRRC, Obama campaigned that he would pull the troops out by 2013 but before W left office he made a deal with the Iraqi government to pull troops out in 2013. That pullout date was originally O's but W made the deal.

The Iraqi govt. forced our troops out. We were going to stay longer, but they forced us out.

I think VNF was implying though that Obama seemed to celebrate the pull-out as some great triumph of his rather than a forced reality.

You need to brush up on your history professor. I was wrong about the 2013 date, the date agreed to withdraw all US troops out of Iraq by December 31, 2011 per the US-Iraq Status of Forces Agreement signed by President George W Bush in 2008.

I didn't want to say anything, but that was kind of my point, Gramps.

On a related note, I hope you're having a great evening. Your dog at the computer avatar always cracks me up. I laugh every time I see it. :)

Thanks I am having a good evening. I upgraded my phone to a Samsung Galaxy S5 today, been playing with it, trying to get everything set up on it.

I like the old dog also, glad I found it, it works well for an old dude. :)

I'm still working with Cold War era cell phone technology. Which reminds me, do you remember those bag phones? I was just a kid but I remember Friday afternoons, my mother picking me up from the YMCA after school and us going to Harris Teeter. And when we got out to the car, we'd need to call Dad. So we'd pull out the ole' bag phone. Had to unzip it and raise the antenna. I remember my mother would always tells me to keep my head away from it (we always had it propped in my lap), so I wouldn't get any bad signals or cancer or anything.

The more I think about it, my mother was really ahead of the curve.

He is the Commander in Chief. The buck stops with him. He campaigned on how great the decision was to withdraw and mocked Romney over his plan to keep some behind. He mocked a reporter for even questioning him. The guy is a total joke

Yes sir I remember those very well. I owned a couple of them. Before the bag phones pager/beepers were big, I also owned a few of those. Get a beep and locate a pay phone. A pay phone is one thing your children will never see.

I agree 100%, with that said Bush did sign the agreement.

The Iraqis wanted too much. Withdrawal was the only option.

Which is the reason why you can't blame either Bush or Obama specifically for this current crisis. Although I do think Obama should have jumped on this quicker. His comments from January about ISIS being some sort of JV team are just laughable now.

This all being said, I'd still like to give President Cheney a good, swift roundhouse to the head with my right steel-toe boot.

Obama could have supported the Syrian government in their effort to crush ISIS. Instead he gave ISIS support.

He's chose the wrong side at least twice now, Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and the rebels in Syria.

The country is tired of war. We have been in war for over 12 years. Obama should have acted quicker. I do think his administration is very reluctant to enter another war.

We have been in some war, some where, since the income tax was initiated.
