On any given off-season afternoon/evening, there are about 2,000 folks logged into VolNation. During games, that number grows to 5,000-6,000. Most I think I've ever seen is 8,000-9,000.
Let's be really generous and estimate that there are 20,000 VolNation users.
Meanwhile, there are millions of Volunteer fans in the greater Volunteer Nation. With 6.6 million people living in Tennessee, and the vast majority of them supporting our state team (several polls over the years established that), probably 5 million plus. That doesn't even bring in a smaller number of fans who live outside the state.
So for any random Volunteer fan out there to also be a member of this forum community would be, at best, a 20,000 in 5,000,000 chance, or about 1 in 250.
So my guess is that, no, that person is not a VN denizen. Could be, but almost surely not.
Was wondering. That car was at a restaurant we were leaving. I thought I had seen an OhioVOL poster on here. Was just wondering if I am living this close to a VN Member this far from home. Going to be short lived though. Looks like I am heading to Western Kentucky.
