I do recall a poster on UT sites that went by OhioVol. I don't spend nearly as much time on the boards as I used to, but I do recall that handle. Just can't say he/she is still active though.

On any given off-season afternoon/evening, there are about 2,000 folks logged into VolNation. During games, that number grows to 5,000-6,000. Most I think I've ever seen is 8,000-9,000.

Let's be really generous and estimate that there are 20,000 VolNation users.

Meanwhile, there are millions of Volunteer fans in the greater Volunteer Nation. With 6.6 million people living in Tennessee, and the vast majority of them supporting our state team (several polls over the years established that), probably 5 million plus. That doesn't even bring in a smaller number of fans who live outside the state.

So for any random Volunteer fan out there to also be a member of this forum community would be, at best, a 20,000 in 5,000,000 chance, or about 1 in 250.

So my guess is that, no, that person is not a VN denizen. Could be, but almost surely not.

My license plate is my user name. So if you are in York Pa and see an orange Subaru the answer is yes.

Was wondering. That car was at a restaurant we were leaving. I thought I had seen an OhioVOL poster on here. Was just wondering if I am living this close to a VN Member this far from home. Going to be short lived though. Looks like I am heading to Western Kentucky.

That would be cool. I know I live near at least a few other VolNation folks (like BaldBiker, who is in Hendersonville), but I've never met any of them, or seen cars/motorcycles with their screen names as license plates, anything like that.

We go up to Bowling Green to visit family from time to time, will keep an eye out for your license plate there :)

In 2012, I was in Columbus, OH to visit a cousin and rendezvous with a former FN CFB regular who was a Bucknut and wanted me to experience a tOSU home game as part of my journey to sports fan enlightenment. The were playing UAB, so I accepted. The hospitality was unparalleled. It was a great experience. TBDBITL is a brass band orgasm.

While in Columbus the Friday before game day, I was wearing my Tennessee colors. A few fellow alums approached me, greeted me warmly, and asked if I was visiting or had moved into town. Had I not plans already for Saturday, I would have joined one or more of these errant Vols to watch games on TV.

Yes, Tennesseans live in other states, even in the capitol of Ohio.

I've had a front plate that said "IAM4UT", the always is to remove all doubt.

I've got the NC on the back.

It's about time for another one.
