Is there something going on internally?

If they made me the HC at Bammer, I would intentionally tank the program.
I assume that's what we're witnessing here.
Gotta admire that level of hatred.

So Pruitt is sabotaging his own career because he hates Tennessee and loves Bama that much? Apart from being comical on every level, why would Pruitt hate TN so much? We are not their rival. We are little brother to them and a chance to get all their backups playing time

He either doesn't care or is a worse football coach than currently unemployable Lyle "Butch" Jones.

Is there something going on internally that we don’t know about? Divided locker room? Toxic work environment? I don’t understand how all our coaches with their combined championship pedigrees and experience didn’t have the team ready against a lack luster opponent. What is going on? Anyone have insider info?
Bottom line: this is all on the coaches.

I’ve coached a good deal of football up to 14-15 year old club level. I’ve coached and played on teams that won every game and a season after (different teams) lost every game but the last one. I/we didn’t forget how to coach in between. The difference was the players. Great talent, motivation, confidence, and football IQ/experience covers a wide range of sins.

IMO, the team is young, underdeveloped, underprepared and uninspired.

The coaching staff knows all of this, I have no doubt. But, these great coaches (all with proven performance) should have found a way to overcome those things. That’s what they are getting paid to do.

I’m very worries about what I saw on the sideline and on the field.

Pruitt is learning on the job as a HC, but ANY coach worth a pay check knows how to motivate, watch film and prepare.

They had to be focused on something else other than GA St.

I don’t know what is going on over there, but this loss is unforgivable and should be the last chance for Pruitt. He needs to be on notice that another performance like that is the end.
My final 2 cents.

I have coached many years too. These aren't 14-15 year olds. Most of them are adults and are capable of playing football without being coached. They are D1 athletes. They are very much at fault for not playing hard and poor tackling.

Are there any team insiders that can provide more clarity?

With the statement of"sit the upperclassmen"to play newer players,I agree. My opinion isn't worth much;but, neither are a lot of these upperclassmen Jauan is the glaring exception to this statement.Play Carvin,Jamir, other newer guys with attitude and nastiness.May miss an assignment, but the fever is there to dominate.Others.simply get in the way to block and don't try to bury the guy. But, the question stands when Warrior whiffed at Ga.States AN on his touchdown run.A perfect overrun "ole"move. If the experienced guys aren't getting it done,SIT THEIR AS...S DOWN!

But wait all the dip **** idiots on here that swore up and down Dooley then butch were going to be great then said that because Pruitt was a great assistant meant he would be a great coach swore he was the answer!! Where are those jack wagons now? Please let’s hear from you!! I mean how many rings combined does our staff have? Even though none were as head coach... yeah you guys can go ahead and **** right off as usual.
I didn’t say any of that bs for Butch or Dooley. But I will admit I have stated Pruitt is the answer to this team, and hope to God I’m still right. First week was about as bad as a sign as you can get. Not gonna say I ‘m wrong yet, gonna wait until at least next game. If you take away today’s game Pruitt has recruited players like a beast, revamped the coaching staff with coaches we were ALL (probably including you) very happy with before today’s game, he beat Ky and Auburn, and seemed like a no bs hard nosed only wants to win football coach. Come at me all you want, I have no Reasoning or explanation for what happened yesterday. But will never shy away from admitting my stance or previous stance.

It appears that there is absolutely nothing going on inside the program, nothing what so ever......whiff.....boom

I simply can't overlook the fact that this team is more experienced and more talented than last year's team with a proven DC and OC yet we looked worse. Pruitt stated months ago in a roundabout way that he failed to build relationships last year with players. I wonder what is really going on with that process. I can't help but believe that we did not prep for GA State whatsoever thinking we would steamroll them. When they built a little momentum, we tried to adjust defensively on the fly, and we looked like clowns. Surely, Ansley is better than that!

A player that left the team #79 in the summer was allowed back at the end of Camp and play alot yesterday A player that was just moved to inside linebacker played alot yesterday #33. A player that has been practicing at Inside backer all summer and was supposed to be the man coming in last year didn't see the playing field. We release a half ass depth chart a week ago. We never had any QB competition all camp. We throw Freshman linemen in the fire like they Anthony Munoz and Larry Allen type players. Then we make excuses about playing freshman players. I AM LOST and yes there is alot going on internally losing the players and coaches

I thought the exact same thing!! Look at what happened when UT hired a Bammer to run the athletic department! He came into UT with an agenda and accomplished it by continuing to give the loser band geek contract extensions and raises knowing things were only going to get worse. Now we are in the same boat. Bammer coach would showed no interest on the sidelines yesterday and sounded even more uninterested in his post game speech. From a coaching perspective, If he knew what he was doing he would have pulled JG after the half and played one of those 4 star QB's he has sitting on the bench, but he knew what he was doing as a person. He did the same thing last year. You are right on point with the hate!

I’m really trying to stay away from the conspiracy theories but I feel more and more like there’s some secret Alabama insider that purposely positioned Pruitt in the east to take down Kirby via recruiting while simultaneously ensuring we still suck and never rise to beat bama. What is a man to think after seeing that yesterday? You got 9 months to prep and get man handled by a community college (I kid I kid). Cmon now. Something is up!

If so, that might be the final straw. It’s one thing to put up with Divas while you’re winning but no one in the program from HC on down should have an attitude, etc.
