Is there anywhere that we can complain to the NCAA about flopping and be heard?

"I say this and I mean it," said Steve Shaw, national officiating coordinator and NCAA secretary-editor of the rules committee. "If you're lying in bed tonight and come up with the perfect solution, call me -- because we're looking for it."

It's an easy fix, this guy is just defending inaction and incompetence.

As a soccer referee, I have considerable power over potential injuries. If I decide that a player is putting himself or others in a dangerous position, I can declare him or her ineligible to continue. I HAVE used this in games where a player (always a guy, women don't tend to try this), was feigning injury to halt a promising attack, (an official U.S.S.F. term). I simply told the coach "I'm really sorry, but I have determined that "x" is too injured to continue. This is done with a smile, and as much as the guy hates me, he is powerless to push the issue. a DISCLAIMER: Soccer referees possess much more on field authority than American football officials do. Soccer has only 19 Laws, with an infinity of space for judgement calls between each one, whereas American football is what we call "rules bound".I.E. there are a thousand rules without much air between them. I agree with the poster who say that an "injured player" misses the rest of the possession. And I just KNOW that the refs would inwardly smile at this.
