Is the program done for good

Its nit whining. Its stating opinions and frustration with the continuance of oir once great football program being completely flushed down the toilet before our very eyes.
It’s whining no matter how you justify it. Because things didn’t go how you thought they would you have a whole lot of hot air to release with your “opinions” and “statements” that don’t add any meaningful dialogue to the situation. News flash for you. We haven’t been good for a long long time. Doesn’t mean you give up on them, there’s a life lesson for you to learn out of this.

Pruitt and co are not gonna be fired after the first game. Now if we go 2-10 or 0-12 then yeah he’s probably gone. But come on, show a little common sense. 1 game? Really?

Nobody is saying after the first game but come on. The writing is on the wall. We ain't got a good Head coach

That 1 game was Georgia St. Maybe you should consider common sense. You don’t lose to Georgia St. First game of the year! The players have been waiting all summer to play the game they love! Where was the fire?? Where was the passion?? When you lack in those areas, all fingers point to preparation and coaching.

Well hell let’s just close up the message board if you don’t want to hear whining after a loss to Georgia state. This wasn’t a fluke or luck, this was Tennessee getting their ass whipped by a 2-10 sunbelt team. Worse loss in modern history by this program but people are overreacting? Are you Fing serious?!

Forever is a long time.

Maybe not in our lifetimes though. Maybe 100 years from now? Idk.

What y’all aren’t understanding is I get what you are saying. But in a realistic world he won’t be fired. SHOULD BE fired but WONT BE. Understand now?

If you live life by the moto “if it gets tough just talk trash about it and quit.” I’d hate to be in your shoes. Almost as bad as a liberal

This ^^^^. TN fans have seen this before. We are now experts at spotting counterfeit coaches. We've been trained the last 15 years.

How does this get fixed I know there is alot of threads but UT football means to much to me. Do we get rid of Pruitt and go try to hire a top guy cuz I don't think they will come

You recognize that there are no quick fixes. Recruit and flip this roster. Until then we are going to take our lumps.

Here is where I am: I am done as a UT fan, I enjoy the conversations on this board on other topics so I will stay around. I can’t imagine pulling for any other team but what I like is watching games from an unbiased point of view and traveling to stadiums I never would have considered before. Auburn, LSU and Texas AM are my top three choices to go see

Definitely understand that. Not going to happen. If they cared about getting the football program back on the right track, it would have never derailed

Take it easy buddy. Aight got this. Let's get together and jump off a bridge. Word!!

See, now we’re on the same page 👌🏼
This is the way I see it. We’re still capable of bringing in top 20 recruiting classes so they think they can just hire a mediocre coach and they come in and win. Eventually, the top 20 classes are going to come to an end and no coach will turn it around. They need to bring in the high profile coach while the T still halfway sells itself.

I would agree with you 100%. It isn’t like we aren’t talented. Yes we have a lot of young talent and there is expected to be bumps and bruises along the way while they develop but the absolute lack of motivation isn’t on the players. The coaching staff did not do anything to ignite this defense or offense in any way for that matter. Once Ga St realized they could run the option we never made an adjustment and it was ballgame after that. That’s bad coaching, not necessarily bad on the players if they aren’t put in a position to make a play from the get go.

Been reading alot of y'all's replies and it just kills me to see how much interest we have already lost after one game, myself included. I'm emotionally to much invested in the football program and I've been waiting to dang long for them to be relevant again. I'm only 24 and idk when we will ever see them win a championship again after today's debacle. Pruitt speaks like a ball coach from the way he describes things and everything that I read from the off-season spelled improvement but obviously that didn't happen. Maybe I'm overreacting but TN is doomed for now

Doesn’t mean you don’t have optimism either. Do you go into every season saying “well we’re going to suck again.” No. Because you think this team might use some of those millions of dollars they spend on getting better. There was no evidence of that today at all. You may call it “whining,” but criticism at this point is warranted.

Can you imagine what the VFLs and previous Coaches are thinking, saying...……………...it was down right shameful.....
