How does this get fixed I know there is alot of threads but UT football means to much to me. Do we get rid of Pruitt and go try to hire a top guy cuz I don't think they will come
UT football as we knew it in the 90's is dead and will not be resurrected in the next decade IMO.

It’s sad in that the program means a lot to a lot of ppl. Unfortunately it’s not an easy fix for any coach I’m afraid. People always want to talk about the next coach when things go bad. Face the facts:
this perfect coach doesn’t exist. If he does he either doesn’t want this job or hasn’t shown up yet. In this day and age of UT football fans have to become uncharacteristically patient or divert excitement to some other part of the program. I’m sorry if this comes across the wrong way. I actually like this coaching staff quite a bit. They have a lot of success all the way around on their resumés. I think they are worth holding on to if they’re willing to stay and fix this.

Realistically could we get someone like Peterson or Patterson ?

Patterson would've come in 2009 if we paid him his worth... he's on record stating that.

At this point? UT seems like it abhors paying people what they're worth and want a value hire. UT is that has-been millionare that thinks they can roll in posh clubs dressed like Steve Jobs and driving a car like Sam Walton. Except we don't have the namebrand anymore and we just come across like a homeless person.

Peterson and Patterson are out. I don't see anyway we get them unless Patterson really wants to be here. I think we can still get Leach, though I'd be worried about his recruiting.

IMO Fulmer puts Pruitt on notice effective immediately and won't let UT be used to negotiate a coach with a mullet into a higher salary.

Program is likely done for a long while.
Some of y’all are way and I mean way to soft. One loss. Yes I realize the magnitude of how bad it is because of who we played. But if we somehow pulled a freaking miracle out of our butts and went undefeated the rest of the year, y’all would still be talking about the loss. If you’re really a Vol fan, STFU and move on. If you don’t like it you know where the door is.

Where has Pruitt had a lot of success at?

Just follow Pruitt and company cause that's where they're headed.

Yeah, may not at this point.....but if im a high caliber recruit do you even consider Tennessee? Them money bags must be huge at this point

We were very serious contenders for big time recruits like Jarret, Smalls, Sewell, Gilbert and Washington. Well that is over. No way we land another big time recruit. As a matter of fact, I fully expect quite a few decommits.

Yes, shutting our mouths is definitely the solution. One loss? You do realize we lost to probably one of the two easiest teams on our schedule? As far as soft, I’ve been a fan likely longer than you’ve been drawing breath.

How many fans do you think jumped ship after tonight? If a MAJOR change hasn’t taken place by the Bama game I might just jump off the train. Been a fan 20 years but year after year the he same old song and dance. Fans are fed up....bet next weekend less than 50k show up for the game...
