Is Myles Brennan A Take From the Portal?

No one hates Milton, but Heupel should have never brought him on campus in the first place, and definitely shouldn't have made him QB1 to beat in fall camp.

He's had the same accuracy issues since high school, and it was pure hubris on Heupel's part to think that he could fix in a few weeks, what other coaches couldn't fix in multiple college seasons.

You usually post good things Bearded but your chin is shorn on this one. You're like Samson, you've lost your mojo. Just plain wrong. No real coach thinks like this and googles a guy's high school stats and makes decisions based on that. Milton was a great get and an extremely good idea to have on campus back when our QB situation was so tenuous. Even though he did not end up QB1, he is now our best (and only legitimate) backup. You have overthrow-itis. Score one for the coach and take a point away from Bearded.

Milton has done nothing after 4 seasons at two D1 stops to even remotely suggest that he is capable of performing at this level on a semi consistent basis. As those on here who are routinely triggered by the constant Kiffin criticism say, just stop talking about it.

I get that. Still doesn’t mean he couldn’t just all of a sudden get it. It’s highly doubtful and not something I would bet on.

Based on nothing but our orange and white game, Bailey was clearly the best QB on our roster. He is gone, and Milton is still here. Life is a weird ass ride.
No , that’s not what I read on here. It was fall practices and Milton wasn’t here for the spring game.

If he wants to come here, great, but I wouldn't pursue him or use a scholarship on him. ^^^ Like GMC said, he can't stay on the field and was less than stellar when he did. I really don't think UT brings in a transfer QB (unless Milton xfers). There are more important needs elsewhere. I know everyone is panicking because Bailey left, but I think UT will be fine. Hooker is the guy, and Hooker is the guy next year. I don't think you bring in someone to compete against him for #1, you work to make him and the offense better. Milton is #2, like him or not, and even if he goes (I think he stays) I don't think CJH panics. UT will have Simpson next season, and I think CJH is comfortable with the walk-ons, honestly. He will need to recruit a good QB for '23 for sure, though.
Simpson? You mean Jackson?

They are mobile but were not classified as Dual Threat if I'm not mistaken. People tend to forget that HB was mobile but wasn't Dobbs mobile but he wasn't Peyton/Brady statuesque either.
Lawrence runs a 4.6 and was a problem for defenses in college around the red zone with the read-option & QB draw plays. I remember highlights of Joe Burrow during his Heisman season running for 45+ yards and looking like he was flying. I agree that they look pass first and go through 3 reads before taking off. <--- That's what you do if you want NFL money.
